Odd moral dilemma...car seat related.

OK, so I have the Britax Roundabout for my car, but my DH refused to spend that much for a carseat for his car. So we agreed upon the Graco Comfort Sport which was $120 in total including tax and shipping. It was to have arrived today...

UPS just came to my door with a Britax box...they shipped me the Boulevard! As per the BRU website...I got the "crown jewel" of the Britax line...and $300 worth of carseat!!

So...my choices...

1. Return it for the Graco like the good Catholic school educated girl I am...hehehe!

2. Keep it and say nothing (but DH has an Accord and this thing is huge!).

3. Go to BRU Boulevard box in tow, convienently lose the receipt, and exchange for another Roundabout.

What to do...help!

Are you sure they didn't charge you for it? If not, I would return it to Babies R' Us and get the credit towards a new one and keep the extra. Chat Icon

I may be the odd one out here, but I would exchange it for the Roundabout. Make sure they charged your CC the correct amount before you do anything.

Don't they not take returns or exchanges now without reciepts?

I'd check my credit card statement. One time I got an extra pump. It was a mistake and I thought it was a freebie. What really happened was my Dad jumped on our computer when to Amazon and some how we had the pump saved in our cart with our credit card saved and me logged in and my dad purchased it accidently.

If something like the above isn't the case I'd keep it and then go to confession.

I would exchange it...their mistake!
I don't feel guilty for corporate companies like this that make mistakes...just make sure they haven't charged you for it...

As long as they didn't charge u for it.....I'd bring it back and exchange it for the roundabout. Although....I don't think the boulevard would be a problem in the Accord.

Put your Roundabout in DH's car and put the nice, new, better Boulevard in your car!

I might be in the minority here, but I would explain what happened to BRU and get the Graco. They might let you keep the britax one anyway bc you told the truth. .

Little white guy on your shoulder...return it, why should the company who made the mistake be out of their hard earned money.

Little red guy on the other shoulder...
Just keep the flucking thing.

Re: Odd moral dilemma...car seat related.

Before you returned it, you should check your credit card statement and make sure they didn't charge you for the more expensive one. If they only charged you for the less expensive one, you are the only one who can decide what the right thing to do is. Personally, I would bring it back to BRU, explain the situation and exchange it for the one I was billed for. I've always believed things that happen like this are little tests in life and they have a habit of coming back to haunt you.

As much as I'd like to be all moral and stuff...

THAT ROCKS!

I would put the boulevard in your car and the roundabout in your hubby's car.

And I was worried about the Marathon being too big but there really isn't THAT much difference between the seats.

I agree. I had something similar happen with Amazon, except a friend was sending me a jogger stroller, and they sent THREE. But...they charged her for all three!

I agree with most of the other girls, check your statement and see what you were charged. If you paid for the Graco I would keep it and enjoy the Boulevard!

Something similar happened to my aunt. Lenox shipped 6 place settings of China to my Uncle's job, she called several times for them to come and pick it up and they never did. So she got 6 place settings of their Hancock line for free. Chat Icon
