3 weeks ago I would have said McCain... But he's made a lot of mistakes in the last few weeks, so I'm thinking Obama now.
Unless the series of 3 pie eating contests actually goes through... Then McCain may have a chance...

Its funny how the Obama supporters feel McCain will win and vice versa
I think people are so passionate about this election and the potential outcome that many are setting themselves up for disappointment. At this point, I really don't know who will win. It's driving me CRAZY!!!

I am all for Obama/Biden and sadly, I think McCain is going to win. There are still too many people in this country who are racist, ignorant - call it what you want - and will come out in droves to vote against a black President. It's depressing

I'm an Obama supporter, and up until very recently, I was pretty sure McCain was going to win. Now I really can't tell. I think it's going to be really close.

Obama. At this point there isn't a traditionally blue state that Kerry won 4 years ago that is looking like it will go to McCain - with the possible exeption of New Hampshire (3 votes). (not taking into account swing states - NJ and PA - but Obama is leading there as well) But a number of traditionally red states that went to Bush 4 years ago (Iowa, Virginia, Colorado, Nevada, etc.) have Obama/Biden ahead.
Electorally speaking, at this point Obama has a lot more flexibility than McCain does.

Not a bad american just a rude and disrespectful person. People of positions and titles should be called by them. You don't have to like or respect her politics but acknoledge her for having the current position she has not for the VP run,

For me, respect doesn't come with the job. Respect is earned.
I wasn't the OP but frankly the way she's running her campaign, she doesn't have any of my respect. When she starts acting professional, then I'll respect her.

After the debate Tuesday, I'm sure we will know more.

I think it will be Obama.

I completely agree. I am a McCain/Palin supporter and I think Obama will win.
My wallet is already cringing. . I have said it before and I will say it again, I like Obama and Biden as people. Actually, they are like MANY in my family. My dad agrees with Obama on 99.9% of everything he says. I would have them over for dinner and be friends.
YET...their policies scare me, and for me and my family since I am an S Corp and in my own business, my tax bracket will go from 39.5% to 50.3% under Obama/Biden. Not to mention socialized health care.  If they get in, I PRAY that I can wait another four years for another heart surgery or transplant.

I don't think she meant any harm... after all, this is an informal message board, not a state dinner.
And not saying the OP does not respect Palin-- who knows. But just because one person respects a person, doesn't mean someone else does. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, and shouldn't necessarily be flamed for expressing them.

Right or wrong, McCain is tied to the party that presided during this economic crisis. I don't think it's something he can shake. I also think the "shine" is off Sarah Palin and people are no longer as comfortable with her as they once were.
McCain also just pulled all of his people out of MI - not a good sign!
