Nipple size for Oatmeal?
HI ladies,
Our pedetritian started DD on oatmeal cereal in her bottle due to her reflux. I switched her nipple to the level 2 but she still gets nothing out. I had multi flow nipples as well but its way too fast she is choking on it and finishing an oz in seconds! Does anyone have a recomendation as to what level nipple worked when adding cereal. I started with the rice and the level 2 was fine, it must be thinner than the oatmeal. TIA ladies!

What bottles are you using? I used playtex drop ins & used the y-cut nipple.

I was using the playtex drop in nipples and couldnt find one that worked with the cereal in the bottle. the V one it was still , too thick for, slow and medium didnt work and fast was too fast. I ended up taking a steak knife to the slow nipples and sticking the tip of it in to widen the nipple hole, that seemed to work.

thank you. DH put a fork in one b ut made it still too thick. i may try again.

they sell "Y" cut bottles for cereal. Check for those but it can come out fast so make sure the milk is thick.
