Nike+ LIF team challenge peeps - please come in! Teams updated 5/29
Okay I set up the team challenge on Nike+
It seems that we have to choose which team to join when we sign up.
We can do this one of two ways. Try to evenly break up into groups OR we can just do it randomly and see what happens. I think the former might make most sense so that there is more of a competition and we can push ourselves to go further.
I used a random team name generator and came up with the violet speedsters and the flying pacers  If anyone despises these names or has a better idea please let me know.
SO.......let's divide up!
I will go first by saying that I will be averaging about 20-25 miles per week. I am already on the violet speedsters
Let's see if we can figure this out. Please post your (approximate) average anticipated mileage for the month of June and also FM me your e-mail address so I can invite you!

It's a Nike+ challenge. If you have nike+ (or are interested in getting it) we have been having "challenges" amongst ourselves. You just run with the nike+ and it will upload your mileage on nikeplus.com This competition is for most mileage in June. This is our first time trying out a team challenge!

I am waiting for the new wrist band that works without an iPod. I use the shuffle so I cannot get the Nike kit for that. I have an iPod but the big one and I don't want to lug that thing around while I am working out. Plus I am already wearing an HRM. I am so picky.

Julz we need you! Anything you run is good enough for us. We know you are going through a lot right now. Running is definitely great for clearing your head and destressing. Perhaps just committing to even one run a week will be good for you

ok this willbe my first challenge so I have a question......after I do my run do I just connect the ipod and go to nikeplus.com and it will automatically enter my run into the challenge??

Yes you just connect it and as long as you have it selected on itunes to automatically upload to nikeplus.com it will.
Keep in mind this won't happen till after the start date of June 1st....

Can a beginner join this challenge? I am looking for more ways to stay motivated!
I am doing the couch to 5k program & I just got my nike+ yesterday. I guess I would be doing about 6-9 miles each week. Next week I start week 3 & by the end of June I should be starting week 7!
