Newspaper Delivery Tip
How much do you tip your Newspaper deilvery person?
We had the plan this year, that we paid upfront for the entire year. Then today we received an envelope to send back to them for their tip.

We are going to give $20. He's reliable and always super-early.
ETA: We've been getting the paper delivered for about two months.

I don;t even know how to tip my NYT guy, he throws the paper out of his van window and I pay by credit card

Thats exactly what mine does and I can't tell you how many times he hasn't delivered or has put thrown it in a puddle in my driveway.
I don't want to cheese out on the person, but I feel weird tipping someone that I have never seen.

Do you tip every week? We don't get delivery yet, but DH was saying he thinks when we do we should tip at least a couple dollars a week.

I don't. We never saw the person that delivers so we would never be able to give it them. We have been getting the paper delivered since January and this is the first time we were given an envelope

If you charge your CC, they might add gratuity to it. I recently found out though that the delivery person almost never gets that tip. NY Times doesn't automatically charge a gratuity though to our CC.
We sent our NY Times guy $25 for the last 3 months of delivery. He's been outstanding and double bags when it rains/snows.
