NEW TTC WEIGHT LOSS CHALLENGE - CHECK IN TIME!!

Okay, I've been inspired by Kara's post.

I've gained almost 40 pounds since my wedding!! Chat Icon

I've been letting my preoccupation with TTC be an excuse to eat whatever I want and not exercise.

It stops today.

If anyone else feels the same way about themselves and wants to lose some weight/get healthier, sign up here.

Wow Lauren - this is a great idea -- it's funny because you look like you don't need to lose anything, to me!!

My Overall Weight Loss Goal: 60 lbs.
First Goal: 10% of my weight
Diet Plan: WW Flex Points, no alcohol, no fats, only whole grains -- MORE fruits and veggies!
Excercise Plan: Get a treadmill tonight, start 20 min. sessions 5 days/week

Great idea!!!

I gained about 25lbs since I got married.

I want to lose 40lbs
I am going to start by cutting out snacks and deserts this week,
and I am going to start walking every other night.

I'm in. Sad to say, I've gained 70 pounds since meeting DH 3 years ago. 40 of those pounds have gone on since TTC - those fertility drugs are killers!

My overall weight loss goal:80lbs.
My diet plan: WW Flex - rejoined last week have my first weigh in tonight.
Exercise Plan: Walk 2 miles a day at least 5 days week. Treadmill or in the neighborhood.

ughhh ....

i've gained 20lbs after getting married 1 year ago... we are TTC as soon as I loose weight... I do not want to uncomfortable with myself begin pregnant and fat!! It's gong to be a wonderful time.... i really dont to ruin it by worrying about my weight all the time...

My overall weight loss goal:30lbs
My diet plan: Weight Watchers
Exercise Plan: walk every day, elliptical & exercise bike 20 minutes every other day.

I like the flex plan - it has worked for me in the past, when I really stuck to it.

I lost 30 pounds on it 2 years ago and kept it off until the wedding.

Im sooo game for this! I gained like 28 lbs since the wedding!

Weight loss goal- 60 lbs

Diet plan for this week- Add LOTS of water , limit snacks, and reduce sugar intake..JOIN WW by Saturday

Excercise plan for the week:GET back to the gym..at least 3x a week to start

I need the motivation bad - so maybe this will work!! I have gained about 40lbs since I met my DH 3 years ago. It all needs to go!

My Ooverall Weight Loss Goal: 40 lbs (will be happy as long as it is over 30lbs).

Diet Plan - definitely to STOP snacking - that is my biggest problem - the other is to watch my portions. Maybe start WW.

Exercise Plan - go back to the gym and take classes, I think classes are more motivating for me than, the damn machines.
And start taking my dog Casey for walks, either in the morning or at night (would like to get DH to go with me - but I don't think that would happen).

Im In: Great idea! I have to do something!

Overall wieightloss goal: 35-40lbs
Exercise Plan: Get my treadmill all set up, and walk away the weight.
Diet Plan: Keep my salt low and try to avoid sweets. Eat in smaller portions.

Weight Watchers really does work. I use the Flex Points and have had success. The most difficult thing for me is that I don't eat enough and you have to use your daily point for maximum success - at least it's that way for me.

Weight Loss Goal - 30lbs although I would really like to lose 50lb but that is impossible.

Diet Plan - Stick to points and continue eating at least 5 serving of veggies and fruits and lots of water

Exercise Plan - Continue to add some weight resistance to daily activities. Join the Y and swim at least 3 times a week in addition to walking.

So far, I have lost 5 lbs.

Exercise Plan for the week - Walk at least three miles every day.

Kathy WW is great --- look up diets in Consumer Reports!!! It's got the best success rate and keep-off rate. I like it, but sometimes I start to slide - like lately - but now I am back on track.

I am drinking a pitcher of green tea (iced) per day. I've lost 3 lbs. since Tuesday's weigh-in. I am sure cutting out alcohol for me will be a huge factor in my weight loss, since I wasn't metabolizing any of it. I don't snack so much, but I like sweets - so I bought Skinny Cow for desserts, or I make pudding.

Marcie - I take Ebony to the park every day and walk a mile. And I walk him around the block 2 times a day as well. I think this makes me keep going and both he and I enjoy it and get benefits!

Boosh that is amazing -- care to share any recipes??

I made a great ground turkey mexican lasagna the other day, and will make baked eggplant parm. this afternoon. I've also been having gazpacho before every meal - it's filling and oh-so-good!

I basically make the same foods, just healthier brands. I buy 93% ground meat, no more frying, I bake everything (chicken cutlets)

Here is one tip: Make your dish from the kitchen. Dont put all the food on the table. Take your portion and thats it.

I hate to drink water, so I put lemon in it. There are alot of WW and Skinny Cow ice creams that are low in points.

Awesome idea!

When I went to the RE last week, she said I had to lose weight. Not that I was severly overweight but that it probably had something to do with my irregular cycles. So I have stopped drinking soda, which I know is where MOST of my calories came from. I am trying to cut back mainly but I would really love to start seeing a difference!

My friend sees a nutritionist and she has lost a ton of weight and the nutritionist told her to put lemon in her water because someone it speeds up your metabolism!!!

I am improving my diet every day.
Friday we got a treadmill, and I do about a half hour every day so fare, aside from my 1 mile walk in the park.

MrsMcK - I expect we will meet tonight to walk?

Thursday will be my second weigh in at WW. I lost 4.2 the first week. Hoping for a similar drop tomorrow! Not doing well on the exercise yet, but have been doing great changing my eating habits.

I went down 2.4 lbs. since last Tuesday -- and if AF weren't here it might be even more!!
