Need Help: DD diagnosed with Acid Reflux today. ....
Hi All,
DD is 12 weeks old. The ped changed her formula 3 weeks ago to Enfamil AR b.c she suspected reflux- well the past 5 days she has been inconsolible. Took her the ped today and they put her on Zantac... and they told me she has a touch of colic along with the reflux.
She will only sleep in her snug rider....
Any suggestions to help soothe her? Sometimes she just cries and cries.... my heart breaks.

When Sarah was colicy and would cry and cry we used white noise. Vacuum, water running, hair dryer, tv or radio static all worked for us. We mainly used tv or radio static since it was the easiest.

When Sarah was colicy and would cry and cry we used white noise. Vacuum, water running, hair dryer, tv or radio static all worked for us. We mainly used tv or radio static since it was the easiest.
We did the same thing - we bought a cd called infant calm that has all those sounds - she liked the vacuum the best.

So sorry to hear this! My son has it too - sometimes I just have to keep him on my shoulder, pat his back and Shhhh him and that is the only way he'll calm down. Poor babies :( We started Zantac thursday and I can't tell whether it's helping or not for sure yet. Let me know how your daughter does on it  I know it's so hard to see them in pain

The Zantac really shouldn't take that long to kick in. It didn't take long for Ava. As for the formula, have you tried Alimentum or Nutramigen?

It's worth a shot because "colic" can also result from a sensitivity to either milk protein or soy proteins. So it's worth a shot.
