Nassau County of Twins Club Meeting - January 16th
Hey Ladies,
Just wanted to let you know that I was at BRU this weekend and met two ladies from the Nassau County of Twins Club. I chatted with them briefly and they were so nice and helpful to me.
I am planning on going to the January 16th meeting in Hicksville. I am hoping i can get a few of you to join who are not members with me so I am not alone when i go to meet all the ladies. Let me know if any of you are interested and maybe we can make plans to meet up or ride out there togehter.

I joined at the last meeting
I'm planning on being there. I'm not sure if I'll make the Feb meeting and the March meeting, well... I might be in labor
What amazes me is they are all moms of twins and can still find the time to produce a 12 page newsletter every month How are they able to do that and everyone in their houses be clothed and fed? My family would be running around naked and hungry if it was up to me to produce a newsletter...lol. They must be hiding their super-powers

The ladies told me there were over 400 members - i could not believe that many people in nassau had twins and were part of the group.
Plus they have a lot of outings as well...a holiday party, a holiday party for the kids....picnics, etc.

I joined the Nassau chapter even though I live in W. Suffolk... it's just more convenient. But it does seem like a large number of twin mommies on the island.

On my block there are 4 sets of twins, so I can imagine that there are 400 in Nassau.

Weird! because i am the 5th person on my block to have twins in the past 40 years and the third one in the past 5 years! We always joke it must be in the water. Everyone was natural too!

These twins are all young, oldest set is 3 year old, youngest are my boys.

According to the newsletter, there is. I thought they said the next meeting wasn't until January On the website it lists the January meeting as the next one. Hm

No one is part of the Suffolk one??
I think I may join that one. Nassua is just too far for me to go...now that Im back tow ork, it is rough on a weeknight

Ah ok. I thought the newsletter said just no board meeting but a regular meeting - you're right though b/c I think there's a holiday party instead. Thx!

Hey! I was one of the ladies at the table at BRU! I don't log on here often, but have been trying to ever since I saw the "multiple births" forum. I think I remember you...you were shopping with your DH alone (no kids), right? And did you say your twins were about 4 months old? How wild is this?
Well, I am glad to see you are coming in January. I hope all of you come down!! Yes, we do not have a December meeting - we have a holiday party in lieu of the meeting which was held last week.

Not sure if it makes a difference in traveling distance but the meetings are in Hicksville.

Either one is far I believe, since the SUffolk one is supposedly in the town I live in. But I have called 2 different numbers for the SUffolk one and both numbers are disconnected.
