So my dentist is advising this for my son who is just 5.
What can you tell.me about it.

I thought the same but then I googled it and it seems it is a device to break bad habits like tongue thrusting, etc, that cause the teeth and jaw to move out of place.
So it seems like it's more of a preventative measure than braces to fix a problem

Yes , it’s quite expensive. Last time I went even the hygienist was selling it pretty hard. This time the dentist. Costs at least 5000...
I am not getting it done, but just curious if anyone has had it for their child
