mylicon vs gripe water?
which do you prefer and why?
We live by mylicon bc DD gets VERY gassy and hysterical in the evening, but sometimes I think it doesnt do much. Ive heard it makes some babies worse? We're thinking about trying gripe water

My DS was the same way and we switched to Gripe Water and it was like heaven! He was a completely different baby!

I liked Mylicon or Little Tummies so much better than Gripe water because of the consistency. Mylicon/LT is much thicker, so it can't be spit out as easily as Gripe Water. I still have a full bottle of Gripe from when DD was a newborn! Meanwhile, i have gone through at least 5 bottles of LT/Mylicon.

I added the gripe water to the bottles.

Mylicon did NOTHING for DD. The gripe water helps immensely, as long as we use it consistently (with every bottle). My goal, though, is to find a formula she can digest without either.

I use both, mylicon seemed to work for my dd but I think the gripe water works better for KJ

dd gets violent hiccups a lot, I use the Gripe water for that, 1/2 a does gets rid of them in seconds 9 times out of 10. I have not used the Mylicon yet, I read the reviews on BRU.com for little tummys vs Mylicon, Little tummys had better reviews, so thats what we went with, They help her a lot :)

I use both. I have been using baby bliss gripe water consistently bc my baby spit up the little tummy's gripe. I use the gripe consistently (half the dosage) and use the mylicon when he is having really really bad gas (maybe once a day). They both seem to help a bit, but he is still gassy I notice the the first time I used both I thought they were life savors, then after I while they just help a little. I HATE BABY GAS!!!

Mine does too, he turns red as a tomato. Other then that he is such a happy baby but when he gets gas pains he just gets so stressed and grunts. He is smiling one second and grunting the next. They are also frequently throughout the day. My ped says it's normal and not to worry but I'm hoping they subside soon once his little belly matures. I'm breastfeeding so I hope it's not that
