my son was bitten by a dog today :-(
I left DS at the babysitter's house. He has been there before and loves the dog. She walked into another room to put laundry on her daughter's bed and that is when it happened. She did not see what lead up to it. Thankfully his skin was not broken, it is just really red and raised. The ped said to give him benadryl and neosporin and watch it.
I feel sooooooo guilty. I had an obgyn appointment this morning and I really needed a hair cut so I figured if I scheduled both today then he would be there. She took him swimming and to the park - so I knew he was going to have a fun day. I had gotten a thing for a free facial and so I scheduled that for today too. I really wish I had just not gotten my facial cause then he would have been with me. I feel badly for taking a mommy day b/c DS got hurt.

It's not your fault. I got bit once when I was like 7 and had a fight with my Mom. I "ran away" to teach her a lesson(aka...walked around the block) and I got bit. I wasn't afraid of dogs and it didn't get infected. Not my Mom's fault and not yours.

Totally NOT ur fault! You had no idea something like this would hppen! Us moms need and deserve "mommy days".
