My Sister Deserves a HERO Award Today
She was driving westbound on the LIE to work this morning near Plainview, saw a women who had just gone the wrong way on the LIE and had an accident and ended up eastbound. She had hit the wall and her car was smoking. My sister stopped her car, rain across 4 lanes of the LIE to the eastbound side and almost had to pull the women out of what could have become a burning car as it started filling up with smoke. She saw that she was stuck inside, couldn't move and she held her head and neck up as someone else called 911. The women said (she was conscious) that she fell asleep, had just gotten off of work as a PA and just cried and kept thanking my sister. My sister then called the women's husband for her. That poor lady! And.... to my selfless, amazing sis! My sister went to work after that and I can only imagine now that the women would love to find out who my sister was.

hi! that was my sister-in-law! please thank your sister SO SO SO SO SO SO MUCH....
i'm OOS so i even though i finally spoke with my SIL we still have not gotten all the details correct, what we first heard was that she hit a tree? but i guess it was a wall? we know she fell asleep coming home from her job at the hospital...and we heard the car was totaled and she had to be cut out....
i know my SIL was really really scared and she said she was screaming for help but it took awhile for someone to stop, thankfully someone, YOUR SISTER, stopped to help her....

when i spoke to her she was thankful to be alive, from what we hear the accident was really bad.....she will probably be in hospital for a few days they are going to try to repair her leg which was crushed between the brake and dashboard but luckily no internal injuries or head trauma....

BabyLove please FM your sister's info if you don't mind....I know when she is up to it my SIL would love to thank her again!
my husband and I also want to send her something to thank her...I know my SIL was really upset because she thought nobody would stop to help her & your sister thankfully came to help, out of all those people who just passed her i am so glad someone stopped for her <3 <3
truly heroic what she did!

yes, this is crazy! i posted on a FB group this morning, I don't know why, just needed to get it out that something happened and I was worrying and I hated being so far away and not able to be there :( I hardly ever come on LIF anymore since I have a 6 month old but I sometimes go on FB while I'm nursing lol
From what I hear my SIL was really panicking b/c she was stuck in the car and thought it was going to go on fire. When I spoke with her I tried not to ask questions about what happened, I think she was pretty traumatized so I didn't ask for details, I just wanted to hear her voice.
