My mom died suddenly
I lost my mom this past Friday 7/27/12. She was out shopping and someone found her and called 911. She went into cardiac arrest. She was 54.
She babysat my 8 month old twin boys for me Mondays and Tuesdays. They loved their grandma so much. My dad is the strong, silent type. He never even cried. I know everyone grieves in their own way.
She did so much for me. When DH had to go back to work the week after we came home with the boys, I was so overwhelmed. I was nursing, a new mom, and crying all the time. My mom came over and stayed with me all day until he came home from work, the entire time I was on maternity leave.
I just miss her so much. My heart is broken. I can't believe she won't be here for their first steps or their first birthday. It kills me! She was my best friend. I still can't believe she is really gone. I talked to her every day. I feel so lost. I still need my mommy

I'm so so sorry! I know how you feel, I lost my dad suddenly last summer.
It's heartbreaking to know that your children won't remember them.
Nothing I can say will make you feel better, but know that you are not alone in your feelings.

 my heart breaks for you. I lost my dad when I was 19 - he was 56.
Take it one day at a time, she will live on in your memories. Start writing your favorite memories down now, especially for your kids. I wish someone gave me that advice when I was 19 ... its getting harder to remember almost 9 years later  
She will always be with you, she lives on in your heart and in the smile and laughter of your children.

OMG, I am so so sorry. How sudden and shocking, I can only try to imagine what you feel. I don't know what else to say, my heart breaks for you and your mom.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My mom also passed away suddenly from a heart attack while on vacation with my dad at 58. My son was only 2 months old. It is so hard. My prayers are with you and your family.

Im so so sorry My mom also passed away suddenly almost 2 years ago when i was 9 months pregnant with my dd. I know how much it hurts. Please fm me if you ever need to talk.

I'm so sorry. My mom died suddenly the same way over 20 years ago. Unfortunately, the first year it just doesn't seem real. You will be in a fog sometimes. Cherish you memories and be happy that she got to meet your babies. Somehow you will find the strength to go on. Hugs to you.

I know what you must be feeling. My wife died 3 months ago. Even though she was sick for a long time, she was always happy and vibrant and optimistic until the end. My daughters, Age 25 and 29, stayed by her side throughout the ordeal, but it was still a shock when she died, and I still can't wrap my mind around it. Nevertheless, my children have been a source of strength to me, and as they grow, your children will be a source of strength to you. My wife always talked about my older daughter and boyfriend getting married, which they iintend to do, and how much she wanted to see a marriage and a child. I will have to live with that forever. But my mom, who lost her husband of 50 years, 10 years ago, and loved him desperately, told me that it's a grave loss, but ultimately you come to terms with it. But not now. It takes time. Love to you and your family. I feel for you.

Awe, honey, I am so sorry. I know how you feel. I lost my Dad 6 years ago at 53, one month shy of 54.. It sucks.. Just believe she is still with you, every day, watching over you. She really is. I believe that, and I know how hard its, though. If you want to talk, I am here.
