My Jewish LIF friends on here it is Christmas... what are your plans?
Tonight we are taking in Chinese food and we rented movies- The Nanny Diaries, The Accidental Tourist, and Evan Almighty. Tomorrow, we are going to be hanging out at my sisters MIL's house , with my Aunt and Uncle, sister, BIL and Niece and we are going out for Kosher Deli and playing board games. It is a good day to just get together becuase we are all off.

well, DH is catholic, so we are going to his aunt and uncle's house tonight. tomorrow DH has to work, so i am going to the movies with my family, and then we are going to DH's parents' house for dinner.
i can't wait for this weekend - i am going to need a vacation!

Tonight we are going to my parents tonight for dinner..
Tomorrow- we will just have a lazy day and go to my friends parents house for dinner. Every year they have a party and make spaghetti and meatballs..
very low key couple of days..

I have a bris in the early afternoon and then I am having dinner at the home of a very good friend and LIFer.
We usually go to Chinatown with all of the other Jews, but not this year.

Well, there isn't ANYTHING open in the UK here....so tonight its just husband and I maybe doing sexy time after a dinner of cheese and crackers. I am baking a ham (not very Jewish, I know) so that will be good also. Tomorrow we relax around the house, exchange gifts (because no Jewish girl refuses gifts) and then I will cook dinner for us, Roast Beef with all the trimmings for my goyish husband. Boxing day, more of the same. Thursday my parents fly in.

I am always amazed at how many places close on Christmas and when it is a Jewish holiday everything is open except mostly the Kosher butchers.

I believe that even the Indian Restaurants are closed here...but to be honest, I am not 100% sure. There is a Jewish neighbourhood, but its very frum and insular, so I don't get around there much.

So, tonight we are going out to dinner with friends, and tomorrow we'll just hang around and I will cook the meal of his choice

I think I might try to do errands today..do you think they'll know it's not for Xmas?? Haha...we are most likely ordering Chinese tonight and hanging out and then tomorrow going to my parents' for dinner...

I am jealous- where did you eat in Chinatown? We love Woohop! The ribs are to die for.

today we are gearing up for everything being closed tomorrow. All the errands and last minute shopping stuff we didn't do over the weekend.
Tonight probably the eggplant and meatballs I made Saturday. Movies, drinking, sex..ya know more of the usual!
My cleaning lady comes today! Tomorrow, we are cleaning out our drawers and closets so we can donate some clothes before the end of the year. Tradition in my world to drop by Goodwill with 8 bags of clothes.
My nephew gave us a gc to PF changs..he said in the card to go on Christmas! We may just order it depending on how we feel. Is PF changs even open?

It's DH's favorite holiday of the year - "Jew Movie Day"! Tonight, for Jew Movie Day Eve, we will go to see Sweeney Todd.
Tomorrow, we will spend the whole day at DH's parents' house in our PJs, watching movies and eating junk food. We usually get through 5-6 movies throughout the day.

I almost miss the days of Chinese food and movies  ... but since I married my non-Jewish DH, tonight is a big Christmas Eve at the in-laws; tomorrow is opening gifts here (this is the good part, I guess ) then over to the in-laws for more gifts, breakfast there, and then back here to clean. My parents and in-laws come here for dinner every Christmas Day because it's also my parents' wedding anniversary. (Leave it to Jews to get married on Christmas. )

Tonight we don't have anything special planned. Tomorrow we are going to DHs cousins' house. DH's cousin's GF celebrates christmass, so we are celebrating with them.

DH is not Jewish so now I celebrate with his family - but since we're in visiting and want to see all our friends - I got out of having to go to his brother's tonight so I could have sushi with a fellow Jewess
Tomorrow I'll prob hang out with my sister in the morning and see my best friend before Christmas dinner with his family.
ETA - How could I forget - I'll also watch A Christmas Story about six times tonight!

We always go to Goody's. There's a huge group of us that goes, and we have a friend we let order everything. Love listening to her talk in Chinese to waitresses.
Today we had a blast in the city, but my feet are KILLING me. We saw Hansel and Gretel at the Met, then walked to see the tree. I forgot how much I love seeing it. I never go down there because I can't stand the crowds. It was crowded, but bearable. Then we walked to the 2nd Ave Deli and stood on line outside for about an hour and ended up having to share a table with an elderly couple. Gorged ourselves on Pastrami sandwiches. Since they just reopened in their new location, as a freebie on the table they put a bowl of gribenes (omg...soooooooo bad for you, but oooooooooh so good!). Got some chopped liver to bring home. Then started to walk back to the car on 10th and 59th, but by 6th and 37th, I just couldn't do it anymore, so we took the subway back.
It was such a fun day, and I think we decided that the 2nd Ave Deli will be a new Christmas Eve tradition.
