My DS wants to eat every 2.5 hours
My son is 2 weeks 3 days old. He was eating every three hours during the day but since yesterday he wants to eat every 2.5 hours. He screams like a maniac. What can I do? Is it bad to just give him the bottle when he wants it?

2.5 hours to 3 hours isnt much of a difference. Give your DC a feeding whenever they are hungry. My DC whails when shes hungry...other times she cries and I know its just a whining cry. You'lll decipher the different cries soon.
Maybe you can increase the oz?

How much is he eating at each meal? Could it be that the flow of the nipple is too slow for him, getting him fustrated and doesnt finish bottle, then making him hungry earlier?

You just keep feeding him when he is hungry. He's probably having a growth spurt.

DS is a week old..i was told if hes hungry feed him...or put a little more in the bottle and see if he will take it..how much you feeding...DS is up to 2.5oz already

My DS was eating 4ozs every 2-3 hours at that age. If he's hungry feed him. Just keep track of how many oz you are feeding a day. My Ped. has us keep it around 28-32ozs. a day.

My dr told me when they want, feed them. Even if it seems too soon, as long as they are actually hungry, feed them. So I do. At 7 weeks sometimes i feed her every 2:45-3:15 hrs.
ETA- Ped told me to feed on demand if they are truly hungry, until they are about 6 mths old.

How much are you feeding him? He might be hungry. I would add a little more in his bottle during his feedings.

also make sure he leaves a little in the bottle at every feeding, this way you know hes full and stopped on his own.

I agree about feeding him if he is hungry. My son is 9 weeks and there are times when it feels like he just ate and an hour later wants more so I feed him. My son always falls asleep after he eats so he never finishes more than a few ounces at a time and then not too long after when he wakes wants a little more.

When DS was 2.5-3 weeks old, he went from eating every 3 hours to every 2 hours. I'm pretty sure it was a growth spurt.

you should feed on demand!! this is what my PED told me, sometimes baby wanted a bottle after 2 hours sometimes 3 hours

Feeding on demand is the way my pediatrician wants us to feed our DD. In the beginning we fed her every 2.5 hrs. Your DS may be going thru a growth spurt.
