MY CRAZY UPDATE!!!!! I don't know what board to post on, re: infertility with 1st pregnancy. Now pregnant again.
Hi everyone. This may be a really dumb question but I'm really in shock and can't think straight. It took me 4 years, 3 IUI's and 2 rounds of clomid to get pregnant with my DD.
I had her in December and here I am, 7 months later.. PREGNANT!!! It just happened on its own. So, my question is, do I still go see my RE or go straight to my OB? I had progesterone issues with my first pregnancy that my RE was monitoring so I'm just not sure.

UPDATE 8/8:
So I decided to go to my RE for monitoring until my OB would see me. So today was my 3rd appointment with him to check the baby's heartbeat.. Well... There were
2 heartbeats and 2 sacs.. IM HAVING TWINS!!!!!!! I cannot believe it, I'm in total shock. I didn't even think I'd ever get pregnant on my own and now it's twins!!!!!
My poor DH was hyperventilating in the car on the way home! He's normally so laid back but I think he was just too overwhelmed when I started telling him how we need 2 of this and 2 of that, etc! So by March or April, I'll be a Mom to 3 under 1 and a half!!!!!!!!!

Congrats!!!! When I got a pg on my own after my first dd. I called my ob and explained that I was on progesterone with my first dd. They made me come in right away. I wouldn't have gone to see my RE for that pg my ob would have handled it unfortunately I had an early miscarriage not due to my progesterone issues.

I was seeing an RE to conceive my first DD. Got pg with my second DD on my own when DD1 was only 6m old. I went straight to my OB

This is what I did... I called my OB and they did a full bloodwork at like 7-8 weeks thats when I realized I was prego, they also did sono... and my Progestrone was fine.

Congrats!! I would call your OB and go in to see them right away to test your progesterone.

Call your OB to have your progesterone tested right away.
The RE will only monitor you if that's how you got pg.

Same thing happened to me. Took me 5 IVF s and years of infertility before having my DS in December of 2011. I get pregnant on my own this following August and DD in May. I saw my RE for immune issues so I went back to him. He did a full blood work on me. I was totally in shock! Congrats!

crashing to say wow, thats really great! If it were me (having gone to my RE for my DS) I would prob just call up my OB since my RE had nothing to do with getting me pregnant. Congrats!

Congratulations!! Since you had progesterone issues the first time, I would definitely reach out to a doctor asap so someone can monitor your levels. I would call your RE and start there, especially if they are covered under your insurance for office visits.

Congrats!! Similar scenario 5 years of TTC, IUI's, IVF's, M/C and no baby. When we were ready to start prepping for our 3rd IVF I found out I was pregnant and I now have a 3.5 month old. I saw my RE until I was released at about 10 weeks. You are techinically still under their care, or at least that is what I was told. Congrats again!!

I called my OB whose next available appointment is 8/8
So I then called my RE who would like me to come in tomorrow morning and he'll monitor me until 8 weeks and then will release me like last time.
I keep looking at my little 7 month old and can't believe she's going to be a big sister already! My family keeps telling me its a good thing that they'll be so close in age,but I can't help but feel a little bad for her that my attention will be split now.
Either way, this is a true blessing to our family!

WOW... that would annoy me that my OB wouldn't take me even just for blood work before then... its a simple blood test! Thats crazy!
I am glad you then called your RE!
I know the feeling... but my DD is 3.5 yo... and I am having the same feeling... I think everyone gets it when they are having their second no matter how close... so no stress!
Congrats again! Super exciting!

I'd probably be  if I found out I had twins with a infant still at home. Heck, I'd if this pregnancy (my 1st) was with twins lol.
