My children's pediatrician is sick (Grello) and I can't stop crying..

and I have been crying all day, and can't stop.. My kids go to Grello Ped. and over the last 6 years I have grown very close to Dr. Steven. I love him, my kids love him. He is so good to my children. Anyway, a few years ago, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and recently has been out everytime I go in. I know there was a post on here a few months ago, re: concern for him that the tumor has come back. I got to see him today.. All I can say is I am just devestated. I hugged him so tight. My heart is just breaking for him and his family. He has had a very rough couple of months and I ask you all to please pray for him and his family (wife and little girls).. I am so heartbroken..

That's so rough... I don't know him but it just sucks how cancer can devastate someone. It's just not fair.

I know how you feel and I'm sorry you're so sad. I bet he appreciated your hug. I will say a prayer for him and his family and send to you.

Thank you. It's just so sad.. Why bad things have to happen to such GOOD people.. He just had a baby 1 1/2 ago.. I am sick over this.. I love him like he was a member of my family... :(

We also go there and just found out over the holidays how sick he was. He is my absolute favorite. We just started going there when my DD was born last December. My husband went there as a child (obviously with the original Dr Grello.)
Do you know how bad it is?? My SIL who goes there as well had heard it was not looking very good at all. I feel so terrible. He is just the nicest man ever. I don't know if I will continue going there if he isn't in the practice anymore.

Unfortunately this story just gave me chills. As I have written on Here, it will be 3 years that my brother who was a pediatrician at the age of 34 passed away... Reading your post, just got me thinking how many lives my brother impacted. I could not believe the outpouring of love from people who were his patients.. I am sure he is realizing how many lives he has impacted and just keep letting him know how much he meant to you..

It means the world to the family to here these things. trust me I know...

Awe, HillandRon, I remember that, and I am so sorry..

He really has touched many lives, as your Brother did.. Thank you.. It helps to know that even when I felt there was nothing I could do, it was something..

Tomorrow I plan on having Ava and Robbie make some cards and crafts and sending them to him.. Maybe brighten his day a bit..

We have been going to them for 8 years. I suspected he was sick again when we were there over the summer and he was walking with a cane I was the one who posted about it.

I haven't seen him since, and I feel awkward asking Dr. Ciro. Is he terminal? Did they say how bad it is? You can FM me, if you'd rather.

I have been going there with my kids for 14 years and he is my absolute favorite. i also was a patient there as a child when Fred Sr was there. I dont have the heart to ask them how he is. My sister asked a nurse when she was there and they told her he needs a lot of prayers. I will keep him in my prayers. I feel so bad for him and his family..
