I think some people from Commack use the Kings Park station. I guess it depends where in Commack you are. Brentwood or Deer Park might be closer. I don't know about parking costs, but I think parking is free in KP.

Either Huntington or Deer Park. You don't want to go to Kings Park or E. Northport, then you have to worry about the diesel trains which don't run as often.
If you live in the town of Huntington, the parking permit for Huntington Station is $30/year. If you are going to be in the town of Smithtown, I am not sure what the non-resident fee is.
At the Deer Park station, parking is free.
From both Huntington and Deer Park the monthly ticket is $239.

Kings Park train station is the easiest from some areas of Commack....you can FM me the area if you'd like, and I can be more specific.

Depending on what part of Commack, DP may be your best bet.

I commute from Kings Park. I don't mind it. I tried DP and had the worst experience. But that's just me.

I grew up in Commack, right off of townline road and I liked the Deer Park train station better than Huntington

LOL. I was thinking the same thing. We got Jessica! We got Jessica!Chat Icon

I think Huntington would be a pain to go to to. It all depends on what time you need to get into Penn Station.

If a diesel is running past your stop (which it is in my case) at that hour, it's worth going to a closer station.

DH goes from Deer Park. He has gone from Kings Park, but Deer Park has better schedules for him. Huntington would be a huge hassle to get to from where we are on the other side of Commack.

Welcome!!!! Where are you moving from?

I live in Commack! If I go into the city I leave from the Huntington train station or Kings Park train station!

Re: Moving to Commack in September. LIRR commuters around that area, which train station?

I grew up in Commack, and when I was commuting to NYC, I'd go to Deer Park - its a faster train ride / less time overall.

Kings Park is closer but the ride takes longer and often requires transferring at Jamaica or Huntington.
