Mother's Day gifts from your kids
Well, I'm not a mom, but I thought maybe some of you could help me. I'm a 1st grade teacher and I have been racking my brain trying to come up with a great gift idea for the kids to make for their moms for Moher's Day. I feel like I always do the flower pot or picture frame thing and was just looking for some new ideas. So my question is, have any of you had your kids make you something in school for Mom's Day that you loved? TIA for any ideas

Every year for Father's Day, my kids make a card. We outline their hands & then write reasons why we love daddy in the hand drawing.
I would give a writing assignment. Things to give your mom for Mother's Day, favorite thing your mom cooks, etc.
Honestly, I could get a flower pot every year & I would never get tired of my kids' crafts.

My little man is too little, nut my mom keeps a peom that I wrote for her (with the teacher's help) from when I was in kindergarten. It wasn't really a poem, just what my favorite things about mommy were.
My mommy cleans and vaccuums- so we have a nice house. My mommy says a magic spell so I don't have bad dreams at night. My Mommy is the best because she makes sure I have my favorite cookies... and other things like that, she said it was her fave present from me.
