Moms with 2 or more close in age
how did you handle the news at first if it was unexpected? What is the age difference?

mine are 20 months apart to the day. i was for about half a minute and then i was excitied and glad i would have two babies so close in age.

DS was just about 11 months when I found out I was pregnant, and I was in shock. I was not ready and was not happy at first. I would cry, when be ok, then cry, and wonder, how can I do this with a toddler and a newborn? But as the days went by, I got used to the idea and became more excited. We didn't tell ANYONE right away and waited until I was about 10 weeks since I still had to get used the idea. DH on the other hand, was thrilled and was upset that I was upset. But he understood that I had to get used to the idea, and I did obviously.
It truly was a blessing in disguise. I love that they are close in age. We are done having children, so having them close is really a good fit for us. Ryan has no jealousy towards his sister since he only remembers her being here. Erin absolutely adores her brother and they get along so well.

Same reaction in that order for me, but mine are almost 14 months 4 days apart
ETA: We are 99.99% done and I'm so happy my girls are so close, I couldnt imagine it any other way now. We wanted them 2-3 years apart, but already at 23 months and 9 months they are bestest friends.
It's hard work sometimes, but the rewards far outweigh the craziness

She took the words right out of my mouth. DD was 9 months when I found out I was pregnant and at first I was in complete denial. I didn't even tell DH for about a week .
I am VERY excited now and can't wait to meet him (although I will admit I'm still nervous/scared about how I'm going to handle it all )

I'm having #2 in Aug and they will be 13 months apart. I'll be honest, I did not handle the news well, but I am getting more used to the idea (what else can I do but be excited and embrace the blessing.)

DC #! was a let's see what happens
with unexpected DC #2....shock. They are 17 1/2 months apart
with unexpected DC #3...tears....complete mental breakdown. I was inconsolable and did NOT want to be PG again.
DC #2 and #3 will be 15 months apart...

I cried, and was in denial the entire 9 months....
my kids are 10 1/2 months apart.
Now that they are 2 & 3, I LOVE that they are so close in age,
and if I had the choice I would do it EXACTLY the same way!

Mine are 21 months apart. Honestly, I was really shocked and mad at myself bc I screwed up my BC again. We were in a tough spot financially, DH had just graduated from law school and Nate had barely turned 1. We were really unsure how we were going to make it work.
But it's been a total joy to have both of them. I love seeing them together. They adore each other (and fight).

I will be having number 2 in Sept. and to be honest I was not very happy at first and I am still getting used to the idea. i dont really think about this pregnancy as much as the first b/c i have some anxiety with this. I am really nervous about how I am going to handle it all. I am sure once I find ou the sex that I will be more into this pregnancy. But right now I am still just not that into it. DH on the other hand is so happy about it.
