Moms of 6 mos olds
How much is your baby eating each day in terms of quantity of solids? When do they start eating a full stage 2 jar of food? Right now I'm giving DD a 1/2 a Stage 2 container of fruit and 1/2 of veg with 4 tbsp of cereal for breakfast, then again for lunch, then one meal without the cereal for dinner b/c she seemed a little bound up after I did 3 servings of cereal. I was doing just 2 tbsp of cereal but the Ped said to up teh cereal. Does this sound like enough?

I've been feeding solids two times a day. In the morning he has 2tbsp of cereal and 2tbsp of fruit and at night he has 2tbsp of cereal and 2tbsp of veggie. We go back to the ped on thurday and I'm going to ask then about when to give him more. I feel like the whole jar would be alot though.

She is still eating a full stage one container, adn that's it. I feel like a full stage 2 would be too much for her right now. But she's also a light eater.

Kerri has 3tbsp of cereal and a full stage 2 fruit at breakfast....dinner is a full stage 2 veggie and a full stage 2 fruit

Andrew has a Stage 2 fruit and a full bowl of oatmeal after his morning bottle.
Then another full bowl of oatmeal and another Stage 2 fruit or veggie.
Dinner he has a Stage 2 Meat Dinner.
Then there are 8 oz bottles in between.

hannah has 3 tbsp cereal 3x a day, and 1/2 sweet potatoes 2x day. she is still on stage 1. as a matter of fact, i have tried giving her apples and pears and she has had a reaction to both. i think i am going to stick with the veggies for now!

thanks! he did just start like 2-3 weeks ago, i just cant help second guessing myself all the time.

Hailey is not quite 6 months but she has 3 tbs cereal in the morning, 8 oz bottles (not always finishing them) 5x a day, and then 3 tbs cereal and 1/3 jar of veggies at dinner. I actually just started adding a little fruit to her breakfast as of this morning. Doctor said to introduce it at 6 months but I feel she is ready.

Wow! Seems like everybody is all over the mark, guess that's not going to give me an indication. Thanks for your responses though. I feel like maybe I'm giving her too many solids b/c now she doesn't drink much formula and I thought they were still supposed to get most of their nutrients from the formula?

WOW! That seems like a lot of food. And he lost weight? he takes a full 8 oz at bottle feedings too?

DD doesn't eat much. She eats about 2 tbsp of cereal and fruit/veg combined twice a day and approx 2o-25 oz of formula.

Yup! He lost weight before he started meats. And I really feel the meat has been keeping him from spitting up so much. He was sick last month so I think that added to the loss of weight. Plus his schedule was all off last month with all the running around with the modeling
He has been on solids since 3 months old now so that is why he is up to Stage 2 and eating a whole jar. And on meat. He has tried everything so far.
He does finish a whole 8 oz and has for 3 months.
