moms of 2 children or more, close in age
is it hard?? Like, crazy crazy?? I have a 2 month old, and want to start trying again asap, but don't wanna drive myself nuts in the end. How long in between is a good amount? Do you think waiting a couple of years, or is a year good? If I wait till he is 6 months, they would be 15 months apart, is that enough time, I know I'm crazy for saying this, but I wouldn't mind trying now, but to scared I'd be miserable....TIA!

My sis and I are 13 months apart - always thought it was so cool. My girls are 20 months apart and I love it. Became pregnant when my first was 11 months old - would of loved them to be closer in age but it wasn't possible. The girls are actually one year apart in school, love that and love the fact that they play, interact and enjoy each other so much!
I wouldn't change one thing about it.

My girls are 15 mos apart and I LOVE it. They will be one grade apart in school. They fight like crazy one minute and play tea party together the next so it is a little nutty over here at times but I just love that they will grow up together.

Mine are almost 10 mths apart. We knew we wanted 2 so we figured based on our situation it was better to try for another right away.
It is hard at times, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Right now they are 3 and 4. We are done having kids. They are both potty trained and pretty independent. They are each other's best friend at times, and worst enemies other times.

My boys are 10.5 months apart (not planned that way at all). DS#2 arrived 8 weeks early & was suppose to be born the day after his big brother's First birthday.
Since it is all still brand new to me (DS is only 7.5 weeks old), I can't say that it is really easy but so far we are having an easy transition. My older son is the challenging one bc he is learning to walk & he was so use to it being just him & I for 10 months. But we have great times together & honestly I would not change a thing. I know the older they get, they will be each other's best friend

My girls are 14 months apart. I never found it to be hard. Both girls were easy babies so that really helped ease the transition. My husband was in the military so we lived over 8 hours away from family. My husband went right back to work so it was my home alone with both girls from the beginning. The only thing I found tough was taking care of them both with no help when I had migraines  Otherwise it was a breeze.

DS and DD are 14 months apart. At first it was really hard, but over time it's just gotten easier and easier. Plus, they're best buddies now; they have similar interests and play well together and are pretty much at the same pace. I couldn't imagine it any other way!

I have 3 under 2 and it's the best thing in the world....I would never change it and want 2 more!!! It's not hard at all, tiring yes but if you are organized its not that bad (IMO).

My boys are 14 months apart - sure it was challenging in the beginning, but I think 2 at any age gap would be challenging. The rewards of them playing and interacting together is priceless. After the first 6 months or so they will always have a playmate.
My boys love each other so much it is great to see the interaction.
If you want to do it go for it.

sooo...spoke to DH last night, told him what you girls said, and he totally agrees :) He said it might be crazy at times, but you can't think that way, it will only get easier and DS will have a best friend.

My girls are 13 mths apart. I love it! of course crazy at times--but that would be the case even if i only had 1--life is just hectic at times. I wouldn't change a thing.

My sisters kids are 20 months apart and she wouldnt have changed a thing. Her kids are the best of friends and she is married but her husband works long hours so she basicallly took care of both kids alone..

this is the only thing that would be a problem. I work full time, and my salary counts in our finances, well it's all of our 'extra' money(going out, clothes, parties, etc). Right now, my DH watches ds during the day, he works nights. There is nooo way he'd be able to watch 2 kids, he'd pull his hair out, lol. So it would prolly force me to stay home, and we would have to go on a budget. Something to think about....

Mine are 16 months apart and they really are like twins- we get asked if they are twins all the time.
It was VERY hard at first- now its wonderful and they are SO attached to each other- really best friends- although they fight a lot too!
