mommies who have done christmas in disney

When we go dds will be almost 5 and 2. Are there any must dos? Whens the least crowded time to go? Hows the weather? Ive only been there in the summer i am beyond excited!

DH and I always go to Disney during Christmas time!!
its gorgeous and so much to see and do!

the best time to go is the 1st or 2nd week in Dec. its still the Value season.
however lately disney has been offering the free disney dining plan if you go during that time, so its a little busier than when we went years ago.

but we went this past december with my twin boys and they loved it!

must see is the Osbourne Spectacle of lights at hollywood studios. its amazing!

we have seen the candelight processional at Epcot

and most of all.. you HAVE to do the Merry Christmas Party at magic kingdom. it really is amazing. you have to buy seperate tickets, and they have certain dates.
they only let these ticket holders into the parks.. they have a special parade , give out hot chocolate and cookies.. its so much fun!!

We've gone twice during this time. We went the first week in Dec both times.

Def the Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom. Make sure you see all the lights, especially at Hollywood Studios.

The only downside to this time of year is the weather generally tends to be cold. Both times we were in sweatshirts during the day and winter coats and hats/mittens at night.

But it is a great time!!!!

We're going the second week in Nov for the christmas decorations. I hope the Very Merry Christmas party or whatever is during that time! I'm excited anyway!

We went this past year and had a great time.

The one thing is you have to be prepared for unpredictable weather. I know people who have gone in Dec and been in tanks and capris...when we were there it was in the 30s a few days!

DS loved the decor and the firework show and the Osborne Spectacle of lights was worth the trip its self!!!

We didnt do the very merry christmas party as I had heard it was over crowded and not worth it anymore. And considering the weather and the fact we went all day and didnt take a rest during the day I am glad we didnt do it! By the time the parks closed DS and his cousins were all beat!

We also went in OCtober with DS during Halloween season and that was great too! The park was much quieter in October (we went halloween week - but were home by halloween day) than in Dec. But the only days I could say were really bad in Dec at the parks were Saturday and Sunday. During the week was fine.
