Mommies of boy: Potty training seat - HELP!!!!!
So I got a potty training seat to go on top of our toilet.
We "unofficially" started potty training yesterday.
This morning DS seating on it and DID a peepee.... YAY!! but EVERYWHERE!!! Shooting peepee straight up into the floor tile. While comical ONCE... I don't see myself catching up peepee with a bucket as he pees.
How do you do it? What seat do you have? One that catches pee. He can't put his penis down just yet. One step at a time.
This is just nuts!!!!!!!
ETA: we are a regular toilet bowl. NOT elongated.

I have my ds push his penis down and points into the bowl. Doesn't always work but it does help with the mess.

Me too, there is no seat that will contain it properly, believe me, Ive looked.

i just put paper on top of his penis to teach him to point down - my ds is only 14 months and not good at following directions

We just taught DS to push his little penis down so that it was pointing towards the bowl. I'll be honest, in the beginning I was showing him how to do it until he got used to it.
Now he actually stands and just leans into the toilet bowl and we are fortunate enough that his penis points in just the right direction when standing that he doesn't have to do anything!.

Me too, there is no seat that will contain it properly, believe me, Ive looked.
That's what I was reading in the reviews of potty seats.

We bought that potty seat that goes on the regular toilet and I took a "shower" the first time DS used it. I never used it again and got the FP potty seat that looks like a frog. The frogs eyes go up really high and keeps the fire hosing in check. After a few months, DS went on the big potty with no special seat and knows to sit forward or stand like a "big boy:.
