If DS went to his due date he and DD would have been the same.

My kids were only an ounce different in weight.

same with my girls

Kaylee 7lb 2oz & 21 1/2 inches
Addison 7lb 1oz & 20 1/2 inches

They are 1 yr apart so all of Kaylee's clothes fit Addison although Addison is growing out of them much quicker then Kaylee did...she's my chunka monkaChat Icon

Re: Mommies of 2 or more...re: birthweight?

I think it might depend on your family genetics... usually everyone in the family is similar in height/size. So babies come out similar.

Our family has everything from 4'8 to 6'5, and my mother gave birth to

Chat Icon 5.5lbs (1 week late) - little me
Chat Icon 9lbs (1 week early) - my tall sister

DD #1 = 6.8 oz
DD #2 = 7.6 oz.

Not much difference (to me). They were both small.

They were close

#1 - 9.7
#2 - 9.10

BUTTTTT....They grew very differently. DD#1 stayed big and always wore a size above her age. DD#2 did not gain as fast and is at least a size below her age. Right now she's 14 months old and still wearing some 6 month old clothing. Chat Icon She's even wearing some of DD#1's clothes that she wore when she was 8 months old!

Re: Mommies of 2 or more...re: birthweight?

DS#1 was 10lbs 3oz
DS#2 was 8lbs 12oz

While they were barely 2lbs apart, it was pretty noticeable in clothes. DS#1 pretty much went straight to 0-3 mo. When i was preparing for DS#2, I got the same size. He ended up loosing weight when he was in the NICU , so we had to go buy some newborn stuff when he got out.

But Ryan grew at a faster rate so Colin wore all his stuff even though they were different seasons. My first son tripled his birth weight by 6 months.

They’re born in the same month, so I was able to reuse all the baby clothes I saved! Chat Icon
