Military could ban anyone with positive covid history from serving?
Why? Is it because of possible permanent damage to the lungs? If they say most people will likely eventually get COVID, then that would disqualify almost everyone from serving

Doesnt surprise me- the long term effects of this disease are still being studied. It also serves as a deterrent as it discourages potential applicants from going out and mingling and risking getting the virus. If people realize the repercussions of having the virus, they will take extreme measures to avoid contracting it..Once more testing is in place, it will be easier to start isolating affected individuals and limit the spread- the only way to win this war.

What I'm reading is a bit confusing. Applicants would have to request a waiver and may still be denied? What about current service members getting sick?

 right. Like don't threaten me with a good time. I know someone that literally committed a felony to get out of serving in the Army after he regretted signing up. They have a hard enough time enrolling people. If they think this will help deter people from going outside ... good luck to them. Especially since the southern states are the ones opening back up early and I think they have the most people that enroll in the services. Maybe having less Military is the goal though, just a random thought.

They are literally acting like this virus is 100% guaranteed death.
Like if you get it, it's a death sentence.

That’s what they’re speculating and because they don’t know for sure if there’s a risk of reinfection. It surprises me that they’re acting this way so early on. What do they actually know that we don’t???

It was revised to anyone hospitalized from Covid, but still begs the question of how much irreversible damage this disease causes. Shocking.
