MAY moms - check in!

29w2d and starting to feel it! I have a NST and growth sono scheduled for 3/2 - ill be 31 weeks! Cant wait to see Chat Icon again. I assume he weighs about 3 lbs. but I really have no clue and I DONT think he is head down anymore. Kicks have moved to my sides and I feel most movement on either side now Chat Icon

No Braxton Hicks yet, at least not that I feel but I have been having tightening in my back!

Sleeping is ok, some nights are better than others. I find that if I have a bottle of water and a cold room, I do MUCH better! Chat Icon I can still half-lay on my stomach and thats how I've been sleeping best!

The nursery is coming along. Furniture is in and his closet is ready to fill Chat Icon Just waiting for my shower which is 3/13!

We are going to take Lamaze after much debate, im more looking forward to all of the stuff besides breathing that they teach. DH will really benefit from it! 4 classes which begin 3/12.

I'm up 10 lbs, as of 28 weeks!

ETA - ill add a few things as I think of them after reading other posts ... NO swelling at all yet and im shocked. I used to fly all the time and I would swell so badly Chat Icon Chat Icon

After my 31 week appointment, my OB said I will have weekly appointments. I assume they will start to keep a closer eye on DS since I am on Lovenox and will have to switch to Heparin soon Chat Icon

29w5d here. Feeling good overall, but my back is in bad shape most of the time. This past week I've started getting nausea again in the mornings (ugh!), but it seems to pass. I've also started getting dizzy again, so I'm not sure if it's a 3rd trimester thing or just a me thing Chat Icon

Baby moves around and has his/her phases... I always feel him/her at certain times of the day. The movements aren't as strong as I had imagined they would be, maybe my baby got DH's relaxed nature?? lol, who knows.

We start Lamaze in 2 weeks (5 classes total). My shower is in about a month (Chat Icon). We got our crib, but it's sitting in it's box until some time in mid/late April when DH will put it together. We REALLY need to make room for the baby. We have a lot of things to go through and need to organize, but I have no energy to really do it! DH doesn't get weekends off so we can't really do anything like that together.

I was getting BH here and there since around 24 weeks, but I don't think I've had them this week at all. They're not painful, they just feel like a weird tightening in my belly.

I'm very swollen in my fingers and my legs are getting swollen too, but they're not too bad yet. My face is super puffy and my nose is spreading (oh the joys of pregnancy Chat Icon). I really wish my finger/hand swelling would go down because it gets pretty painful at times.

And as of 28 weeks, I was up 19 lbs. Chat Icon I'm really hoping I don't gain TOO much in these last weeks!

Re: MAY moms - check in!

Just had my appt on Tuesday 27 weeks, I'm only up 11 lbs so far. Much different than the 45 I gained with DS (but then again, I didn't lose it all either).

After next appt in 4 weeks, i'll go to every 2 week appointments.

Belly is measuring fine, doctor made a comment that the baby is already in my ribs.

Closet system is in, room is painted pink from when we moved in, so if we have a boy, I'll need to repaintChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon. We are picking up the furniture on Saturday, so we'll get that set up.

I pulled out all the gender neutral clothes I had, still have to wash them and put them away, but waiting for furniture.

Baby is kicking all over the place, and we still don't have a name if we have a boy. Girl's name is set.Chat Icon

27 weeks and 1 day pregnant started cleaning out the nursery waiting for dh to finish moving his things out of my little ones room. I went for my glucose test last week monday up about 20 pounds at my last appt i pray i don't gain too much in the next couple of weeks. I have the babies crib can't wait to set it up but I have to wait for the little ones room to be ready. I have no clue when my shower is I am just excited that its getting closer to my due date and I get to meet my little one who has been going crazy in my tummy.

Hey May Moms Chat Icon

I am 26 weeks, nursery is painted and decorated pretty much, we got the crib and put it together.

My heartburn is out of control all the time!! My doctor gave me a prescription of prevacid but it really seems to do nothing Chat Icon

My shower is March 20th so after that I feel like I will be able to get everything situated in nursery.

I have a breastfeeding class March 17th and think I have a pediatrician but haven't interviewed yet. I want to take lamaze class but I haven't signed up yet.

Time is flying by!!! We are all going to have our LO's so soon Chat Icon

Re: MAY moms - check in!

I am 28w5d. I was up 19 as of 26w, but i have some how managed to LOSE 4 lbs since being on bedrest!! Someone tell me how that is possible!! So now im up 15.
As for sleeping...im up probably every 2 hours. I find that sleeping on my side, but kinda more towards belly works best for me...sometimes with a pillow on the side...sometimes without.
Babies are moving around like crazy....I love seeing my belly move! Although sometimes it grosses me out...Im wondering how much longer i will be able to feel them...they are gonna be squished pretty soon!
As of yesterdays sono, Baby Boy is around 2.14 lbs. He is inthe 56 percentile. And his sister is arouns 2.11 lbs. So im just trying to make them as plump as i can in the event of delivering early! No Lamaze for us...scheduled section on April 22! Although my mother is trying to convince me to go natural...even if i have to do one natural and one with a section...something im not a big fan of!
As for their nursery...we are actually keeping rhem in our room for at least 9 months. We have a tenant that we are trying to keep around as long as possible....so therefore, we turned our double closets into a little nook for the twins. Its literally like 5by3. All we have left to do is paint...both bassinets fit well in there..with room for us to get in.
My shower is in 2 weeks! YAY!

I'm just about 27 weeks and up around 13-14 lbs. The baby is moving around like crazy every day. He even made a book jump that was laying on my stomach. Chat Icon We are going to start the nursery in the next few weeks. Furniture is ordered and won't get here until mid April...and I've also ordered some swatches of the bedding we chose to match up with paint colors. My shower is April 11th...so i"m just getting ready for that and really enjoying my time being preggo. The heartburn is a pain but that's my only complaint so far. Sleeping great, only getting up once to go to the bathroom. That snuggie pillow is the best invention ever!!!! Oh..we are also on the hunt for our pediatrician..so I need to make some appts to meet up with the potential doctors that I like. I hope everyone is feeling great!!!!!

28 weeks exactly today and up 22lbs. Chat Icon

Nursery is almost done. We went to look at carpet today. Furniture is ready to be put together as soon as the carpet is down. The bottom half of the wall is painted chocolate brown. We're waiting for Chat Icon to paint it either baby blue or lilac.

Baby is an ACROBAT. Doc mentioned that both feet are up in my ribs. AWESOME. That's why I have such pain up there. No BH contractions yet. I had some heavy duty cramping last night and I thought maybe it was BH. I mentioned it to DH and he says, "Contractions!!! Is it go time?!?!"Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon He has NO idea.

We bought a Rav 4 (before the recall of course) and thank goodness it's not recalled (Vin # checked out fine).

Shower is March 21st and things are flying off my registery.

Going to get a doll and start preparing my fur baby for the skin kid's arrival. Not sure how she's going to take it. Chat Icon

I CANNOT imagine how it feels with 2 babies in there!!Chat Icon I feel like my baby takes up sooooo much room all by him/herself. Can you feel two separate baby movements or does it just feel like one big baby? So interesting!!

Re: MAY moms - check in!

I'm 26 weeks tomorrow and up 16 pounds so far. I'm finally looking pregnant instead of just fat! Chat Icon I'm in Florida visiting family for 2 1/2 weeks and my mom is throwing me a small baby shower on 2/28, which I'm really excited about! I am also having some heartburn, and weird pains in my ribs. My left ankle has been swelling lately, but not my right. Chat Icon I've been feeling baby much higher the last couple of days, but he seems to be a pretty mellow little guy. He loves to get really active when I'm ready for bed!

Our furniture will be delivered at the end of March, and DH is working on the nursery this week. It's completely cleared out and ready for paint and the ceiling fan!

MIL is hosting my shower in NY on April 18th, and that will be the big one. I can't wait to see things come off my registry!

I'm also thinking about switching midwives and hospitals, because I'm not so keen on the baby being in the nursery and having a roomate at Wintrhop. I'm looking into Stony Brook Midwives and have scheduled my appointment for March 16th. I'm scheduled for my 1 hour glucose test for March 9th at my current dr's office, and hopefully I pass!

Re: MAY moms - check in!

Hello, everyone! I am new posting to this site, but have been lurking and reading for info for a while . I am a liw July 11, 2008 bride, so I remember so of you.

I am so excited. I am 26 weeks, 1 day and due on May 26th. I did not find out what we are having so it's def. going to be a big surprise. Everything is going well, measuring good, I have only gained 10 lbs at the last appt. I go back next week. I will do the glucose next week, not really looking forward to it but I hear it's not that bad. I feel great except very tired.

We are living in Salt Lake City right now in an apt. So there is not a lot of room. We have a house in Ct and are hopefully moving back this summer. :fingers crossed: Then we will do our nursery but for right now the baby will be in a pack and play.

Anyway, hope everyone is feeling well!

Re: MAY moms - check in!

Hey! I'm 27w 1d and things are good here. Once again I failed the 1 hour GTT and have to do the 3 hour. Again I only failed by a few points. I HATE that test with a passion!

Miss Petunia is doing good over here...she is 2 lbs. 2 oz. and in the 40th %tile!!! I've never heard a percentile that high in relation to my kids! DD1 was between the 9-16th in utero and was very closely monitored during the 3rd tri. (BPPs, NSTs, and Level I's galore) and now is between the 5-10th. I go back in 3 weeks for another Level I but no regular monitoring! I'm glad for good news!

Swelling hasn't started (yet) and only really picked up around 31w last time. My sciatica is manageable but I wish I didn't have to deal with it. This DD is sitting there breech on my right side. DD1 turned around 32-33w, so I'm not too concerned.

Our nursery is basically done b/c it is/was DD1's. We are working on getting the basement playroom/family room painted this week so we can put some of the guest room furniture down there. Then, we can transform the guest room into a big girl room. This is gonna be fun!

ETA: I'm up about 14lbs., so if I put on one pound per week during this third tri., then I'll be up 26lbs.-ish, which is similar to DD1.

I don't know if this input helps but Winthrop is really wonderful. The nurses are amazing in L&D and everyone was very good in maternity. It was nice to have DD go to the nursery for a bit b/c you just need some time to rest and heal. Honestly, sharing a room wasn't a big deal to me and I totally thought it would be. I think after giving birth I was so tired and sore but happy that I didn't care one bit!

Hi Everyone-

28 weeks 3 days here. Chat Icon is kicking me more than his big brother did.

I passed my glucose test last week, did a 3d sono with my mom this week and she loved seeing the baby!

I feel pretty good. We got the baby clothes ready- just have to wash them and other items (Bjorn, swing cover, bouncy cover, bassinet sheet, etc) that DS #1 used.

Nursery is NOT done at all. We need to paint, decorate, and put together his crib- hope to get that done in March! Our little guy also needs a name too- so still lots to get doneChat Icon

Hi May Mommies!

I'm 27 weeks 4 days today.
Feeling generally pretty good but I seem to be slowing down, especially during my commute into the city. Getting out of breath easily. My feet, hands and even my eyes were puffy this week. Baby is kicking but it never seems like enough during the day. He is more active at night.
Sleeping is somewhat uncomfortable...waking up a lot during the night just to flip over which is a chore. I have the snoogle pillow but I think it makes me hot and it is starting to annoy me!
I'm scheduled for biophysical & NST on 3/2. My dr. said this is because I'm on lovenox. Weight gain is close to 30 lbs. already Chat Icon
Shower is scheduled for 4/11 and nursery is not even close to done. It is already painted but has to be cleaned and emptied of all our stuff.
I can't believe how close we are getting!

Re: MAY moms - check in!

Hi! I'm 30 weeks tomorrow and feel great, still going to the gym 3x/wk. I'm just waiting for this 3rd trimester to hit me like a ton of bricks! Baby kicks intermittenly throughout the day, but seems to go nuts at night...We met with 2 peds and I think I decided on which one to go with (Pediatric Healthcare of LI in Bellmore). I have a BF class tomorrow and we start the 4 week series of Child Prep classes on Wednesday (7-9). I use the snoogle pillow too, but I sleep like the dead regardless. I find I wake up to pee more during the week when I am working as opposed to the weekends or on vacations. We weren't going to paint the baby's room b/c it is a neutral color (antique white) already, but we are having second thoughts. My shower is March 21st too, so I kind of wanted the room (minus the furniture) to be done by then. I go back to the dr on 3/11 for my growth sono. I have gained 16 lbs so far...And Chat Icon is starting to kill me!!!
