....loss of loved one and then family drama.

I hear this is common. Can you share any advice?

Loved one passed and now the family seems to be deteriorating....over the will, hurt feelings, a plethora of things.

I figure emotions are raw right now and its not helping the current situation, but what can be done, if anything?

Try to be understanding and let things slide. No one is at there best during this time...I did the "Jesus Thing" as my husband calls it. Turn the other cheek and let it go....

OMG We have seen some MAJOR drama in my family in the past month since my Dad passed away. It is amazing when you see sides of people that you have known your entire life and realize that there is more to them, under pressure, then you ever knew was there.

I tried my best to try and understand the other person's point of view, and tried not to completely take sides but at least try to point out certain things in the name of fairness. Luckily it has fizzled down a little bit. It is just unfortunate because sometimes it is events and things said that noone of us will ever forget.

Hang in ther eand if all else fails, hide in a cave until it gets better! Chat Icon

I can relate too. After my father passed, my Aunt (my father's brother's wife) said some pretty hurtful things. I know she didn't mean anything by what she said, but the way it came out was hurtful. My mom keeps telling me "to take it from where it comes..." but it's really hard for me to not say anything considering I usually tell people how I feel automatically.
