Looks like my little one is on the big side
Went for my 38 week appt and my doctor is sending me for another growth sono. Hopefully they can fit me in tomorrow or Monday. She held my stomach and explained that it was "all him". DH was smiling but she and I were not. We might be having a discusion about inducing me next week 
ETA: You know I am having them check to make sure we're still going boy

Okay - we're on for Monday.
It's bad that I am scared to ask them about the sex again...right? 
It works out because after the sono we go straight to the doctor for the 39 week appt...hopefully we have our little guy on the early side like she is predicting.

Def. ask them the sex again - they don't care and I'm sure know what it must be like.

Just wanted to say that my doctors estimated my daughter to be about 8.5 - 9 lbs - at one point - they said she looked like she might be over 9 lbs too.
Well - I was induced 5 days after my due date and she was only 7 lbs 6 oz.
I was terrified of the fact of giving birth to a huge baby and they were wrong.
If you don't feel comfortable about being induced before your due date - don't do it - I decided to wait to see what happened and when i was 5 days overdue and wasn't dialacted or effaced - we made the decision and i had a great experience with the induction but we had talks about doing it before and i just couldn't.
Just something to keep in mind - good luck with whatever you decide and meeting your little one!!

yeah!! Maybe you will meet your litle guy next week!
I was induced at 36 1/2 weeks for preeclampsia and they did a sono at the dr.'s office right before we went to the hospital and the dr. estimated he would be 7lbs 8oz and they did one at the hospital right before they started the induction that estimated him to be 7lbs 12 oz . Well, he was birn at 6lbs8oz!! So don't be nervous abot having to push a big baby!
Enjoy your weekend!! Maybe it will be your last with just you and DH!!!!

Thanks! I really appreciate the advice that you and Ann posted because in my heart I think he will be smaller than they tell me. I know he will be big but I am thinking in the 8lb range - not the 9 that they seem to think. We'll see what happens although I have to admit that my belly is HUGE!  And I really am excited to see him. I'd love to bring on labor.
