I have been there since Merv Griffin owned it. It is def not the same.

And is very expensive. I will not be going back again. It is crowded and most rooms are far from the beach.

I have a question... well, 2, actually.

Which restaurant was your favorite?

Did you swim with the dolphins, and if you did, do you recommend it?

Thanks!Chat Icon

Re: Looking for feedback on Atlantis Paridise Island

I have never stayed there. I have sayed in nassau many times and spend a day or 2 at Atlantis. Very expensive compared to the rest of the Bahamas. Its a beautiful resort. Its very big!! I found it way to crowded the last time I was there. It was a holiday week so that could be the reason but I was not able to even get around. To busy for me. For me I would stay at another resort less crowded and just spend some time here.
Eta: I swam with the dolphins on paradise island and loved it. its somthing that you have to do at least once!!

Re: Looking for feedback on Atlantis Paridise Island

We just got back yesterday, and it was amazing. I found it to be fun for the kids, and fun for ME, which is hard to come by in a vacation spot. The restaurants we visited were wonderful, both for food and service, and the staff all over the resort was fantastic! We are already looking into a quick trip back for Thanksgiving.Chat Icon

We went w/ DD when she was 9 months old last October.
We really liked it!
It was pricey, but we went off-season, TOTALLY lucked out w/ the weather, the pools weren't packed, the food was great, staff= great, atmosphere was amazing...If you go the the Gourmet meal plan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I have a review somewhere on LIF.

1. We did the dolphin swimming with Dolphin Encounters. They are the only place in the Bahamas that offers it. I absolutely LOVED it, and so did my DH who hates swimming. It was an experience of a lifetime.

2. We didn't stay at Atlantis, but we visited the resort during our visit. We stayed at the Sandals resort - all inclusive, and they had their own restaurants.

I've been there a few times and LOVE the Atlantis. I'e also stayed in Nassau and there's no comparison, its just not the same. We did the meal plan and were very happy. We stayed in the Royal Towers with a balcony and ocean view. very nice. Very family friendly too, although we haven't been there with our kids. Last time I was there, I was 7 months PG with Andrew Chat Icon
