Looking for advice from anyone who knows about Civil Service tests.
Three weeks ago my DH got a letter from a school district saying that his test results were forwarded from the Civil Service test he did in January. It said that if he was interested in interviewing for a specific job in the school district (not a teaching job) to sign his name and provide a number he could be contacted at. The due date was 7/27 but he responded about 10 days before that. Now, I know they move like molasses, but we thought he might get a call this week and so far, nothing.
If anyone has any experience with this kind of procedure, do you think he will definitely get called for an interview, or could they have appointed someone from within and that this was just a formality.
We'd LOVE if he got the job, so we're very anxious. Thanks!

Call civil service and ask for an update.

It took my BIL about a month in a half to hear anything we thought he didnt get any job

I receive those letters a lot from the CS test I took last year (or was it the year before? I forget). Anyway, mine usually have a number to call and schedule an interview. I do have a friend that has had to mail them back in and it has taken FOREVER to get scheduled for an interview. They really move slow when it comes to CS jobs.

Wow! I can't believe they would never even call you back for an interview
