Looking for a wedding venue
My sister just got engaged her and her boyfriend are planning on a small wedding, probably about 100 people but they don't want a big catering hall just a restaurant with a dance floor for a sit down dinner type of thing.
They both live in east northport as does most of the family so they kind of want to keep it local i.e. east northport, huntington, commack.
Any suggestions?

danfords in port jeff. we had our reception there... it was gorgeous!
(better if the reception is during the day, so you can see all of the boats and the water outside  )

I know its not Huntington but how about Captain Bill's in Bay Shore or the Riverview in Oakdale. I've personally never been to either but I know they do small weddings.

The George Washington Manor in Roslyn is awesome. I've been to a small wedding there and it was fantastic!

There is a catering type hall on 25A...it starts with a C on the south side of 25 A. For the life of me, I can't think of the name of it. It's just east of Elijah Churchills.

I got married at Milleridge but in the cottage....they have a much smaller room, the carriage house. really cute.
the Snapper Inn has an outdoor area

I got married at the Stonebridge Country Club in Smithtown. It was a small room, we had 165 guests. We did have a dancefloor, but if they wanted to do a buffet instead they would remove the dancefloor and put the buffet tables out instead. Perfect size place for 100 people.

DH and I had our reception at Giorgio's we had less than 100 people and have one wedding at a time.
ETA: It's in Baiting Hollow(out east)
