I just drove by the gas station by my house and the lines are soooo long.

Im on the phone with my friend right now, she has been there for 15 minutes on line, and gets to the pump and they RAN OUT OF 87 and 89....the guy says We only have 93 left or you can go down the block to where its $3.35

Craziness!
I saw a station for 2.65 this morning, so I opulled a u-turn and got gas....filled up and topped off...at noon, I went past the SAME place, and it was 3.10@!!!!!!!!!!
For the FIrst time, I actually took advantage of something at the right time!!!!

Drove past the station this AM it was 2.89
Came home tonight, same station, I think it was 3.19

I fueled up last night having a strong feeling today was going to be a bad day for gas. I got gas at $2.65. Hubby did it this morning at work and it was $2.67.
I dont know what it was this evening when I got home.

I wonder if this was on old country rd by roosevelt field mall- exxon wanted 335 for regular!!!!!! and the station up from them was 285 but the pumps were blocked off with caution tape- I guess they ran out!!! I need gas!!!

My mom said they are talking about rationing gas again...it's in such short supply they are worried about it running out.
I don't even know how many of you remember gas rationing, I was pretty little, it was crazy!!!!!!!!!!

I went to Hess in Northport, $3.05, and they ran out of regular. So I went to the Getty on 25A and got premium for $2.99. But I waited for 15 minutes. However, tomorrow, it will be soooo much more!

i just filled up and only neede a half a tank and it cost me 27.00... i drive a vw golf and they are so good on gas... i can't imagine filling up a vw golf at over $50.00 when i need a full tank!

I remember! There were odd and even days. That was crazy. If you were low and it wasn't your day, you were out of luck!

My friend was in Nesconset.....She said lines were everywhere and A LOT of stations had run out of 87 and 89 because their shipment normally LASTS...
This is pretty freaky huh?

I heard that there would not be anymore deliveries until Tuesday of next week after today. I am not sure where this info came from but our friend called and told us this is what he heard--

REGULAR GAS is just about sold out everywhere this 1 woman said, I was like wow, I put in plus at 3.09. EXXON is a freakin joke at almost 4 a gallon!!!!! I went to BP on hempstead turnpike across from luxe- dont know the name of it now and the gas station on the corner of newbridge and hempstead turnpike what a mess a HUGE line and causing traffic and its after 11 30 pm!!!!!!

Thats insane. And I usually only gas up in the evenings... usually crazy late when I am on my way home from DJing.
Last night at 12:30am I gased up at a station that was 2.89 a gallon for regular (I put premium in my car).
I will pass by that same station in about an hour so i'll see what the price is today.

YES THIS IS TRUE, DH JUST GOT BACK FROM FILLING UP HIS CAR AND SAID TO THE GUY BEHIND THE COUNTER HOW MUCH WILL GAS BE TOMORROW 17 A GALLON JOKING AND HE SAID THERE WILL BE NO GAS TOMORROW- NO DELIVERIES AFTER TODAY UNTIL NEXT WEEK!!!!

It only seems to be Exxon and Mobil charging the insane prices, Gulf and Hess are medium and BP and the newbridge one are pretty low at 2.99 for regular but the problem is they are running out of regular.

Well the Cheap one on Newbridge is Exxon. the one across is a mobil. Exxon and Mobil are the same company

DH just told me its Mobil , Exxon is on the south side. Exxon on old country rd is 3.25 for regular too. huh- same company but very different prices
