LI IVF retrieval/transfer question
My retrieval is going to be on Friday and it looks like transfer will be on Monday. I see Dr. K and want either Dr. K or Dr. B to do retrieval/transfer. How does that work? Does it depend who is in that morning? I am going in tomorrow but thought I would just ask here so I am prepared.

Unfortunately you have no control over that. It's whoever is on call that day to do the retrievals/transfers.  Dr. K is my dr as well and I lucked out that he did my retrieval... but when it came time to my transfer, Dr. B did it. Honestly I was VERY happy with both of them.
Dr. B took about 20 mins to do my transfer and kept loading 'blanks' into the catheter until he could tell for certain that they were going to end up in the right place. He had the embryologist standing by with my embryos so that when the time was right he/she loaded them into the catheter and the Dr. injected them in.

I'm "pretty sure" that only Dr. K and Dr. B do the retrieval/transfers, I don't think Dr. D does them at all.

I was there this morning and Dr. B will do the retrieval and Dr. K will do the transfer. So I'm am happy about that. There was another post on here that said Dr. D is now doing transfers and retrievals so I just wanted to make sure I got either Dr. K or B. Thanks for responding.

Dr. B was my main doctor but Dr. K did the retrieval and Dr. B did the transfer. I had no control over who did the procedures even when I made a special request that Dr. B do both.
