Lets talk jackets for this time of year...

My niece got Emily a very thick, warm snow jacket from Carter's .... it is 2 pieces so I could have her just wear the top part but I feel like it is so thick and too warm.

But I don't think the sweaters/sweatshirts we've been putting on her are cutting it because she has a cough today.

What are you dressing your little ones in during this weater? It hasn't been TOO cold I feel but it has been windy and she is always congested ... I dont' want her to keep getting sick...

Sofia has a bad cold/cough. If it isn't windy then I dressed her with a light jacket but she had 2 other layers underneath. It was pretty windy where we live so I had her wearing this fleece winter jacket yesterday for a little while.

I also put a hat on her as well.

I always put a hat on him because he doesnt really have hair yet and I make sure it covers his ears. Luka has more jackets than DH and I put together. I have an addiction Chat Icon . My SIL gave me a fllece jacket from Old Navy but it is a little big and then I bought a bomber style jacket at old navy that I put on him for when we go for walks. If we are going to the mall or shopping I usually put on a sweat style zip up jacket.

I agree with the hat as much as you can get her to wear it.

For Maddie, I've been putting her in regular shirts/her winter jacket or shirt/sweater/fall jacket. I feel like the winter jackets cut down on the wind.

She's better off being warmer than cold if she's getting colds on a regular basis. In Chinese medicine, colds are described as wind related.

I was going to post the same question. I have a light jacket & winter gear for them. But nothing for in between. I went to Macy's in Queens yesterday & they had nothing that I loved.
I'm hoping I can convince John to go to the outlets today & maybe I will have more of a selection..

During the day, I have a thick sweater jacket that I put on her if it's chilly, but not cold. At night, I have a full one piece fleece coverall that I put right over her clothes. It's roasty toasty. But I'm DYING to put on her winter coat. It's fuzzy and leopard printChat Icon

I just think it's a little TOO warm for this time of year. I am always more afraid of her overheating than her being cold. I have the heat on in the car, so the only time she's exposed is walking from the apartment to the car. I don't think that's that bad.

Same problem here with Andrew. He has a nice winter coat, but nothing in between. Last year he had a great fall coat from Old Navy. I just layer him up now, but that may explain why he['s had a cold all week Chat Icon

My kids have worn their winter coats already. I think 40 degrees is way too cold to wear just a light jacket.

I bought Sara a light weight winter coat. It is good for days that are in the 40s for this time of year. It was only 20.00 at Syms
