He is only doing it for financial reasons. He has to make up his poor mismanagement somehow.

I’m curious to see how they will go about things like driving while impaired...how do you ‘test’ if you suspect an employee (especially someone like a bus driver, law enforcement, medical, etc...) is currently under the influence of marijuana

I don’t have a problem with people smoking marijuana, if anything at least it will be regulated and you know what you are smoking. I just have a lot of unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered in the next year while they make plans to implement it.

I don't like the way this is being laid out. I could have heard this wrong but local municipalities can opt out of having stores/dispensaries if they choose.
That means more social-economic divide, I believe. You'll see dispensaries in the poorest of areas.

Honestly, I've never used marijuana but the way my anxiety has been lately, I'm willing to give it a shot if it comes legally to a dispensary near me!

I actually don’t think you will. We already have on if Farmingdale on 110. While I think some towns/villages will say no but those are the ones that say no to everyday things anyway cause they hate change not because they don’t want a certain business there.

Re: Legal marijuana

But here is the $100 quetion...
will all the tax revenue this generates for the state do anything to lower our taxes?

Ah that even sounded funny typing it.

But maybe they'll use it to fix the roads?

ITA with having it legal. Doesn’t really affect me personally but I know for many it does.

I think more research should be done with helping and curing ailments and diseases though which making with legalization that can be done.

Wish it would smell better lol

I think part of 110 is kind of sketchy already.

I just read the tax on it is going to somewhere from 9-13% so I speculate people will still be buying and selling under the table so to speak...

I am sure most will continue to buy from their dealers lol but I am sure plenty will just buy from the “stores”

Either way I am sure we won’t see any break on our taxes!

When does it go into effect??!!

Also I’m wondering how does it works with jobs that require drug tests. Can they not use it against you if you test positive for marijuana??!

(I will try to look this up myself later Chat Icon )

It goes into effect immediately but sales might not start until 2022. Not sure how the employers will handle this...

You are allowed to drink on your own time, I would think employers would handle it the same as alcohol, except for first responders, that probably won’t change.

Legal marijuana

I'm ready as soon as store opens up by me. I already told my family to be ready for a few additional "spices" in next year's Christmas Dinner lol.

Colorado made so much $ they gave residents dividends! I don’t smoke and I hate the smell but I’m hoping it helps my pot stocks.
