Should I call the ped? I dont know how high is high enough to warrant a call to her doctor. I took her temp rectally so I know its accurate. Im worried... Trying to give her some pedilyte now and just gave her Tylenol.

I probably wouldn't. I would give Tylenol and a cool bath. However, if you feel like she's not responding to Tylenol or is really cranky, then I would give call. Chat Icon

I wouldn't either. That's considered low grade for infants. (not trying to downplay her illness)

The only thing the ped will tell you (barring any other weird symptoms) is to keep her hydrated & give Motrin or Tylenol.

I wouldnt call the ped for 101.5 As was mentioned, give Tylenol or Ibuprofen and dont have her dressed too warm. I wouldnt even bother with the Pedialyte unless she was throwing up. But if she was throwing up, I'd call the pediatrician for that, definitely with an infant.

Hope she feels better. So many sick kids out there (including a few over here)

not for 101.5,I would give tylenol for lowgrade fever and Motrin for anything over 102....

For future reference, my brother tells me if JAcob has anything above 102, then you call your doctor and he must be seen...
