Just got back from seeing Reign on Me...
I feel so sad. On 9/11 I was there and have never 100% gotten over it. I've moved on but it's always still there and it's something that I can't seem to ever get away from. I told my DH that I really didn't think I wanted to see this movie as I haven't seen any of the movies based around it... but he wanted to and so did our friend and his girlfriend,... so I gave in on the condition that there was a good possibility that I would walk out.
The movie was tremendous- Adam Sandler completely shocked me as I'm not used to seeing him in a serious role. He was very believable.
Anyway, I cried through the 2nd 1/2 of the movie and it made me think of a completely different side. When no one heard from me until around 1pm that day (after I was safe and in Brooklyn since my cell didn't work), I was more concerned about my mom and dad and how they were probably thinking that I was dead. This movie made me come to terms with people that were listening and watching the news and ones who never got to say goodbye and who knew what was coming.  I can't help but sit here and cry... and feel completely lost again.

I thougth this was an excellent movie. and while there is no footage of 9-11 and they never really say it, you know thats what it was.
i cried when he told cheadle his story. that was the worst part.
 to you for what you went through that day.

Thanks! Despite everything, it really was worth seeing. It gives you a perspective on things that you may not normally think of.

I know It doesn't ever completely go away. Even though it was almost 6 years ago, I still think about it almost every day. I lost one of my good friends that day and I had to walk from 52nd & Broadway to Queens to get home...I relive that day over and over in my mind.
