Johnny has been sick for over a week and won't eat solids...anyone go through this?

He had a fever for a few days which went away...however he is still horribly congested...

I know their appetite may decrease but he seriously will not touch solid food. He throws it on the floor or spits it out in disgust.

Keep in mind this is a kid who eats everything and LOVES to eat...

I'm wondering how long before he is better...I feel like this is the longest cold ever!!!!

will he eat chicken soup? ice pops and alot of fluids? just keep him drinking drinking drinking! you can plump him up when he is better for the holidays.
One of my babies always eats less when he is congested-if he is forced it ALWAYS comes back up in phlegm form in buckets..chances are he will gag warn you.
Def stick something under his mattress to slant it at night.
hope he feels better

When they're sick, especially my oldest, i just make sure she's drinking, drinking and drinking some more. I offer her fav foods, even if she only eats bananas for a week :) she always makes up for it and eats everything in sight when she feels better.
