'Jersey Shore' Cast Starting to Fold
Two of the cast members of "Jersey Shore" have agreed to MTV's offer of $10,000 an episode, but the others are still holding out ... sources connected to the negotiations tell TMZ.
Ronnie and J-WOWW have accepted MTV's offer. A well-placed MTV source tells TMZ the network is drawing a hard line at the close of business tomorrow -- the rest of the cast members must either accept the offer or MTV replaces them.
Earlier in the week we told you MTV's original deadline was Monday night -- but the network continued negotiations and now they say it's do or die.

I heard that Pauly D now "demands" $10K-$25K to dj...that's up from the $1000 a night he got before Jersey Shore...ridiculous IMO

WOW! And cops and firemen and not to mention tons of other fields out there that dont get paid enough to put their lives on the line. But yes, lets give these people all this money to party, get drunk and #$%#. Unreal to me.

I could not agree more. And let's not forget volunteer firefighters and EMS who put their lives on the line for free and to give back to their community!

i agree - it is absolutely ridiculous. but just think how much $ MTV makes from this show -- im sure paying each of them $10,000/episode is nothing compared to the amount the network is making.

MTV pays those kids from "The Hills" 100k an episode. So IMO I hope they get more than 10k. Jersey Shore brought in the most ratings for MTV so why shouldn't they get paid for it.
I do think it's ridiculous that ppl get that much to do absolutely nothing but agree to have their lives taped, but such is life. ; )

Take the 10K an episode and deal with it -- before ya get replaced Jersey Shore kids.

I don't think that you can compare MTV's offer to anything that a public servant does or how much they earn. I'd like to think that any cop or fireman has a lot more respect than the Jersey Shore kids! MTV is a for profit business and honestly, this is a lot cheaper for them than hiring real actors/actresses. JWOWW will probably be doing nothing by the age of 30, so no wonder she took it. I don't see what she has going for her, no looks, brains or personality. There is personality in some of the others! As for Pauly D getting so much to DJ, in most fields the top people can demand all sorts of insane amounts of money and if he is bringing people into clubs that can afford to pay him, it doesn't bother me.

Exactly. Same thing with sport figures getting millions of dollars a year to PLAY A GAME for a living.
While doctors, cops, fireman, etc don't even make close to that to save lives.
The values in this country disgust me.
Shows like this, people like the Kardashians, etc really make me embarrased for our country sometimes.
It's like we value trash.

ITA! $10k is nothing compared to what a hired actor would make. The problem is that they want to use the same cast from season one. If they just kept it like The Real World, it would be over and done with and on to the next cast. These kids got a taste of "fame" and are well known everywhere now. I can't tell you how many of my friends have been to clubs in the city over the past week and said that they were parting with some of the cast. MTV has created a monster!  But I love it!

I honestly don't blame the cast for holding out, considering the amount of money MTV made on this show. 10K is also nothing compared to other shows, like The Hills and even Bravo's Real Housewives, where women who are already wealthy earn 100K an episode. It just is what it is. Whereas they do not serve any real purpose outside of entertainment, I think they have a right to request the going rate.
But I would love to see Angelina replaced-she was so useless.

like it or not- they are famous
Kim Kardashian gets $10k to TWEET someting- at least Pauly D has talent and can DJ
alot of DJs make that a night

exactly what I was thinking.....
Even if Pauly is getting A LOT to DJ now, without the show he will fall back into obscurity soon enough, and wish he was making 10K an episode.
