IVF Girls - Anyone do the flare protocol?
Where you started the Lupron same time as the stims?
Just looking to see if it was successful in creating more follies.

Yes, I did....I was on Lupron(20 units to supress) instead of BCP and continued to take 10 units of Lupron with follistim (150 units). The way my dr. explained it was that he wanted a few really good eggs rather then a bunch of immature eggs. I wound up with 5 at retrievel, 4 made it to transfer and we transfered 3.
When I looked at the picture of the eggs, they were very multi-cellular. Very different from what I have seen on the internet!
Because women with PCOS tend to over stim, he used this protocol. I have to say that I was a little bloated (no more then having eatedn too much) and wasn't extremely uncomfortable!

I did, for me the lupron oversuppressed me and now I do it without the lupron
