it happened last night.. i got asked
if i was having a boy or girl!!!  
we went to happy hour at mulcaheys last night, and decided to stop off at this gyro place near our old apartment. while we're waiting for our food, the old guy behind the counter is pointing and asking me something... i thought he was pointing to my pocketbook (complimenting me on it?  )
and then he says Boy or girl??
SOOO DH and i were just like "oh... we dont know"... he goes 'you're not finding out?"
i go "nahhh, we want to be surprised' 
i felt bad... he was just trying to be nice... seemed like one of those old guys that barely talks to anyone, so i didnt want him to feel bad  Plus, the shirt i was wearing... we refer to it as the 'preggo shirt' because its the one thats tight around the boobs and then flares out.
also, then, the young girl behind the counter, who was staring at us, goes 'awwwwww you guys are the cutest couple i've ever seen'. I mean, WHO could get mad at that?!
but we were Laughing our azzes off for the whole car ride home. and Thank god he wasnt close enough to smell all of the alcohol on my breath... who knows what he wouldve thought

I would never ask someone if it was a bot or girl unless I knew for sure there were pg. If the man who told you was sweet, I wouldn't be mad either.
The other day I was wearing what my dh's family thinks is a PG shirt. My MIL says...hey are you guys not teling us something and ponits at my stomach. So I said, yeah YOUR son is expecting... Check out the belly on him.

So funny!!! MIL always pats my belly and asks how I'm feeling and then goes over and pats DH's belly and asks how he's feeling.

Someone that was doing my nails one asked me that and I wanted to crawl under the table and die. I answered back "oh, I'm not pregnant, I'm just fat" and she felt like shyt. She was like "oh well we see you have a wedding ring on so we thought you were".. yea ok !

What is WRONG with people? Actually let me rephrase that... what is right with people?
DH always says, no matter how pregnant a woman looks, isn't NEVER appropriate to ask unless she is your wife. He's right.
BTW: We had "big plans" to go to Mulcahey's to see Big Shot but our old selves were too tired after our "romantic" night at Home Depot picking out crown moulding

i was pretty amused by it.. i was going to take a pic and post it, but was too Tipsy when i got home
i felt bad though- he was like in his 60s and barely spoke english... like DH said. he probably wouldve felt more bad about it than i did if i corrected him. but we got some good laughs about it.
and i do have a preggo lookiing belly... its not fat, but it bloats out, and DH and i kid about it all the time, so who are we to say anythig
(and yes, i rub DHs belly all the time too and ask how the twins are doing )

Aw Neens - those shirts make everyone look preggo. Seriously I saw a tiny girl wearing one in Penn Station yesterday. I did a double take because she looked terrific but I thought she was pregnant because of the shirt. Saying something is an entirely different matter.
