Is TRU the store that has the strict return policy?
I know I read many complaints on here about a store not accepting returns without a receipt. Is that TRU? I got a gift for DS that I want to return but have no idea where it came from... probably TRU, BRU, or BBB.

We didn't have a receipt and thught we were stuck with a $100 item because of the policy. Be super nice, that is all I can advise you. The employees will more than likely call their manager and plea for you to get a refund. If you can't get a refund, just accept the store credit (which is what we ended up having to take...easily used it up anyhow). Best wished. I hope it works out for you!

Thanks, I'll try it at the one in Westbury because the one near me at Douglaston has obnoxious employees.

TRU can look it up possibly by the phone number of the person that bought it. That helped us one time.

We went to Massapequa yesterday and I brought the wrong receipt, but the customer service rep took it back for store credit...just needed to give her my license.

I find that BRU will take back most things without a receipt although they have gotten tougher. TRU is a no-go. At least the ones by me!

I suggest seeing if BuyBuyBaby carries it. If you dont have a receipt they give you store credit....
