Is this normal for my 4 month old (poop related)
DD is 4 months old tomorrow. She’s given only breastmilk (pumped). Up until the last month or so, she’d poop 1-2x/day. But now, for the last few weeks, she’s not even pooping 1x/day, it’s often 2-3 days until she poops. Is this normal? She doesn’t appear to be uncomfortable at all, but I don’t remember this with my older daughter (and I was supplementing with formula back with my first daughter by this age too).

I EBF too and my Ped. said its nothing to worry about unless she doesnt poop for 3 or more days.

DD poops daily but it did decrease from 4 poops a day to 1 maybe 2 a day.

5.5 month old used to go once per day. since we switched formula he is going 2-4 times a day

Totally normal. If it goes too long with DS I give him a little apple juice and it clears him right out.

I heard the pooping slows down as they get older and that it's normal

It's totally normal. BF babies can go up to a week without pooping. As they get older, they become more efficient at digesting BM. There were a few times when DS went 5 days without pooping.

DS pooped every 3 days when I BFed and now that he is on formula he poops everyday!

ITA - up to one week for BF babies is normal!

my ds at that age only pooped once a week and was never straining - ped said it was fine and nice side effect of bfing - breastmilk is just more effiecient - ie less waste
