MediaTakeOut.com has learned that a local Turks & Caicos journalist is set to release a scathing article questioning gifts that Michael Misick reportedly gave to his wife Lisa Raye.

Last month, reports surfaced that the Caribbean leader may have fathered a child outside of the marriage.

The Caribbean journalist is claiming that to get back in Lisa Raye's good graces, Misick "gave" her four islands and an unspecified amount of cash. The writer, who claims to have received his information from a confidential source, suggests that the gifts may have been misappropriated from the people of the Turks & Caicos Islands.

Right now it's not clear whether Misick actually gave Lisa Raye any of the above mentioned gifts. It's also not clear whether doing so would be improper.

But if the journalist's allegations are true, it begs the question - why would the leader of a nation do something so politically damaging. According to the Caribbean journalist, Misick was trying to satisfy Lisa Raye's belief that she was marrying into royalty. The journalist writes, "Lisa Raye believed that marrying Misick would make her a Princess ... In an attempt to live up to a 'royal' lifestyle for his new bride, Misick gave her the world - or as many are saying now ... gave her the Turks & Caicos Islands."

In the midst of all this turmoil, Misick is up for election this year - and it looks like he's in for a fight. Sources tell MediaTakeOut.com that at least half a dozen opponents are set to challenge the Caribbean leader. And his relationship with Lisa Raye is likely to be the main campaign issue.
