Is dragging considered crawling?
My DC just turned 8 months and he can lift his stomach pretty high and go on his knees but when it comes to moving from that position it's more of back on the stomach and a push forward (dragging) to get to a toy and he will get the toy. Is this crawling? I'm telling people that he doesn't crawl but they they are shocked when I tell him he's 8 months. Maybe he is crawling?

I would say no because part of crawling is lifting to stomach muscles to develop core strength and the moving of the hands to develop coordination.
DD didn't crawl until 11 months. She rolled everywhere.

Sounds like an army crawl. I wouldn't consider it crawling but it is a step in the right direction.
