Invited to a b-day party for two people - etiquette question,

We received an invitation for a surprise 30th birthday party for two guys. One is our friend, and one is an acquaintance. We are definitely only invited b/c we are friends with the first guy. Do we bring presents for both people? I have met the other guy at parties, but we've never spoken much. WWYD?

I thought there was a chance we are going to the same party tomorrow... but ours is not a surprise party, both guys know about it!

Re: Invited to a b-day party for two people - etiquette question,

I would probably only have gotten a gift for my friend and called it a day but now, reading the responses, getting a card and scratch-offs is clearly the better idea lol

I agree with the other posters a gift for your friend and a card with scratch offs or a $10 gc to starbucks or barnes and nobel.
