Does anyone have contacts at St. Catherine's hospital ?
I asked the Instructor to see if he can get us a conference room there.
That would be perfect!
I'll update as soon as we set a date/time.
If anyone wants to start another one in nassaue or Queens, FM me for info, and I'll ask how far he drives to do the course.

I would be interested.... Please let me know so I can arrange some babysitting. I am not sure but I think there is a conference room we may be able to use at Good Sam or they may offer the class there..

For those interetsed, Ive gotten in contact with a company that will do the class for us for Infant/CPR Certification.
(Theyre affiliated with the American Heart Association).
They only charge $40pp.
He can do it at any location (so anyone else is welcome to start another session if this is too far for some to travel).
But we tentatively plan to have it at a Smithtown library. Im going to book a room. Early August, weekday evening 6-10pm. (date TBD)
Let's see how this sounds for some, so we can get a rough idea as to how many will be able to come.

Anna, why don't you do it at mi friend Stephanie's coffee shop(TwinMama) You can buy munchies, coffee, drinks there and she's got tables and chairs. It is a nice sized store.

Oh, well since you guys mentioned it, that's actually the first location that came to mind but I wasnt sure if it would be appropriate if she had customers, etc.
Stefanie-you can even put flyers up and make it an "event" (and even if every person that comes buys one cup of coffee, hey it all adds up!
and being that youre a mommy yourself, if people say "why are you having CPR here" you can say how it's very important to moms and we think everyone should know CPR, etc.
AND I can bring flyers for my Italian mommy and me preschool classes  kidding kidding

It's kinda far for an evening thing 
It's about 45 miles from Queens if that helps.
Maybe some NYC mommies can set another one up?

There is also another great company here on Long Island called New Baby Belly they provide childbirth classes and also infant/child cpr classes. They are also affiliated with the American Heart Association and provide private classes as well as group classes. check out their schedule at newbabybelly.com These women are fabulous and teach the classes with a girlfriend approach.
