Im reading too much ...

I keep reading about how high the chances are that bedrest will happen with twins .. is this right or should I stay off stupid websites? Were a lot of you on bedrest? Im only 17 weeks but I feel great aside from feeling like im getting big fast!

Re: Im reading too much ...

Too much reading! No bed rest, though I too was neurotic about it for a while... just take care of yourself and take it easy as much as you can, otherwise the rest is out of your hands :)

Im reading too much ...

I actually was on bed rest on and off starting from 20 or 21 weeks until i hit 24.5 weeks. Then i had an issue and was on bed rest strictly for 2 weeks. After that I was on moderate bed rest and only allowed to go to work. Had to make sure i stayed in my chair all day and literally everyone catered to me because i could not get up. I delivered at 32 weeks exactly. That being said, everyone is different. My doctors told me at 17 weeks i should start to take it easy but i felt great so i kept on pushing. Cleaning, getting ready for babies as much as i could, planning my baby shower. I did way too much and i am sure that contributed to all my issues. Just don't over due it, rest and stay off your feet as much as you can and stop googling, you'll be fine :)

34 week triplet mommy here - never on bedrest. It all depends on your cervix. I am very petite but had a cervix of steel :) so you never know. good luck to you.

Im reading too much ...

Amazing story MommyX3!

I had the easiest, healthiest pregnancy! I thought for sure I'd deliver at 38 weeks and work up until that day.

Till 33w2D, when I was put on bedrest in the hospital. You never know, no matter how healthy or in good shape you are.

Re: Im reading too much ...

Bed rest started at 24 weeks for me because of shortened cervix. I ended up delivering them at 30 weeks.

I made the choice to stop working at 34 weeks and basically put myself on bedrest because I was exhausted. Girls were born a week and a half later.

Re: Im reading too much ...

no issues until 24 weeks when I was sent to the hospital on strict bedrest for pre-term labor and was there until they were born at 27wk5d.

Everyone is so different so you just never know. Stop reading and stressing yourself out because you may go without bedrest and be perfectly fine! Chat Icon
