I'm having such a horrible day this morning I had to run to the bathroom and just cry in the dark.

I'm still upset I'm tearing as I type this. My morning was rough with both of my babies crying at the same time. I have a 23 month old and 8 week old. I couldn't catch a break for anything. My 23 month old had his speech therapy which went fine but when I went to drop him off at his nursery school for the 2 year old program I got a call an hour later to pick him up.

I'm upset with that too because it's not working out for him. I do believe that he is overwhelmed between the speech therapy in the morning and then the 2 hour program at the nursery school in the afternoon. I'm going to have to take him out and just continue with the speech therapy in the home for now.

As for me I'm so drained. They are both sleeping now and I'm just exhausted and sad. I almost cried in front of the nursery school teachers. I just needed to vent, it was so hard not to breakdown in front of them.

We have all had days like that...Being a mom is so tough

Have you asked if they can do the speech therapy at the school? I know our school does that, they pull them out of the class and work with the therapist one on one in a quiet area.



ETA: Don't worry, you wouldn't be the first overwhelmed mom to cry in front of a nursery school teacher or director.

many many to you.....that is a tough day for you!
some days are like that especially when you're a mom. that is one thing that surprises me most about motherhood-how unbelievably hard (and great) it can be. yesterday, i broke down a 100x-i have a 27 month old and a 9wk old and some days are so hard! hope things get better for you! hang in there!!

We've all had our breakdowns. It's tough being a mom, especially a mom of two.

First dont worry about the nursery school program right now. My niece tried nursery school once and just wasnt ready, 6 months later she loved it and is now an 8 yo 3rd grader who LOVES school.

I am sure its alot to have 2 under 2 but know you are not alone! I only have one and yet I have days where I need a good scream/cry!

I have been there too....the key is to just realize you need to go one day at a time and not let it get to you....you will get it to work but its still new....

I completely understand how hard it is and how overwhelmed you must feel. Hang in there

If you want to try and keep him in school see if his therapist can fit you in anywhere else during the week.

I am sorry you had a rough day. can I ask how often he goes to school? Why did they call you to pick him up?

My DD had a VERY rough adjustment to Nursery. She cried for a long time. I sent her three days a week. A bunch of moms convinced me to send her 5 days. They said it would help - its more routine for her and even though i didn't believe them, I tried it. I was desperate.

Turns out they were right...she loved going 5 days a week. It was more consistancy in the routine for her and it actually made it easier.

I hope you are having a better day today. Being a Mommy is friggin hard! Hang in there and vent whenever you need to!! We're here to listen.
